On Saturday January 21, 2017, Women’s Marches took place in cities around the world. While the primary march in Washington D.C. was estimated to have drawn some 600,000 people, ‘sister marches’ were held in over 500 cities across the United States and over 100 cities across the globe.
Estimates of over 3.3 million people are said to have participated in various marches across the United States alone. If true, it would mark the single largest day for a demonstration in the US. [source]
