Hoang Tran aka Wax Nostalgic is an artist that specializes in carving popular characters from film, television and comics onto the tips of crayons. In an interview with Lost at E Minor, Tran says he was inspired after seeing the artwork of Diem Chau (featured on the Sifter here and here).
Each character can take a few hours to carve depending if it’s his first attempt or not. The quirky artworks are available through his Etsy store and you can keep up with the latest from Hoang via Tumblr and Facebook.
