Lucas Simoes was born in 1980 in Brazil. An independent artist, he studied architecture and design in Brazil and Italy. Many of Lucas’ pieces are heavily layered as he cuts away at different sections of each layer to produce a bizarre and distorted image you can’t help but stare at. In another project, Lucas takes rolls of the same image to create an incredible sequence-like shot.
