Artist Crochets Balaclavas, Then Turns Them Into Wild Masks With Yarn

@threadstories is a visual artist based in Ireland. Her ongoing mask project started nearly 4 years ago when she was making a mask for a music festival and stumbled upon a technique that she still uses today. In an interview with Red Milk Magazine she explains:

Each mask starts with a crochet balaclava, I then thread yarn through some or all of the stitches to build form or play with movement
