Check out this toddler girls shared bedroom. I'm sharing my easy, budget friendly ideas to make your kiddos room feel welcoming and cozy.
I am a huge fan of decorating with letters, especially in nurseries. I decided that I wanted to hang an "A" and an "M" for Allie and Macsen in their room above their beds and I had a very specific style in mind. I looked EVERYWHERE for letters that would work, but no craft stores had anything even close to what I wanted. Then my mom found and posted this website just for me on Pinterest. Craft Cuts.com has just about anything you could need when it comes to decorative lettering. They have painted and unpainted wood letters in all sizes and fonts you could need. They also have vinyl lettering and quotes (which I know people are loving right now) and at REALLY great prices. I got a letter "A" and letter "M" in the unpainted baltic birch wood so that I could stain it with a dark wood color and the grain would still show through. I got them a little thinner so I could hang them easily, and got them 16" tall. I LOVE how they turned out: Bedroom Reveal HERE More pictures of the kids' NEW bedrooms below: Macsen's Patriotic Bedroom Allie's Polka Dot Bedroom More posts of Our Home Here Follow me on Instagram for more @jesshills Check out my other blog! I am beginning to see more and more gray pop up in home decor. It's becoming quite the trend in magazines, galleries, designer websites, everywhere! Some may say that it's the "new neutral". And I have to say, I agree. And I would love to incorporate subtle shades of gray in my home. So here's a little something to help me get motivated: [First of all, I absolutely love the gray-striped chair! And the weathered gray nightstand adds a subtle classiness.] [This gray kitchen/dining area has a chic, rustic appeal. The "eggs" sign goes well against the deep gray walls, and that little accent gray pillow on the slip-covered seat is a nice touch.] [Using gray as your base color can spotlight your bold accent colors. Love how it's paired with gold/yellow tones.] [What little girl wouldn't love to live in this room? I love how gray is paired with light pink. Such sophistication!] [I simply adore this nursery. Again, the gray brings out the accent color: pink. Of course for a boy, this would look just as lovely having grays and pale blues.] images courtesy of: BH&G House Beautiful Restoration Hardware [Jen]

No matter what style you choose, you can’t go wrong! The Irregular Dot decals come on a sheet—think giant sticker sheet, like when you were a kid. Once you’ve picked the destination for your dots, just peel and stick! And because the dots themselves are irregular, the spacing doesn’t have to be perfect (unless you really want it to be). On that note, the dots are actually easy to peel off and reposition where you like!

Last year I shared a few posts about Lila’s ice cream themed bedroom makeover. It’s been an on-going project and I’ve really enjoyed finding and making nice things to add to her room. I’d love to share a few more of the DIY’s I’ve done recently and first up are these super simple ice cream pom poms. You will need: Cotton knitting yarn, felt, pom pom makers, ribbon, toy stuffing, needle and thread, hot glue gun. Step One Cut a large circle (I used a side plate to draw round) out of the felt and cut it into quarters. Step Two Make lots of multi coloured pom poms. If you don’t have any of theme pom pom makers just use some circles cut out of cardboard. Step Three Stitch the felt quarters down one side using a back stitch and then turn inside out. Step Four Glue the pom poms onto each cone using a hot glue gun. I made sure to glue both the felt and the stuffing so the pom poms were stuck down very securely. Step Five Glue each ice cream onto the ribbon, about 10cm apart. Then it is ready to hang. If you have lots […]
