Christmas At The Cabin - Wood Sign This sign is perfect for the cabin, it simply states Christmas At The Cabin with a snowy Pine Tree. Would you like it to say "Lake" or' In The Mountains" ? Just add a note to seller and I'll make the change for you. Base has been done in my original black/white wash Lettered in Red & Black. This has been aged & distressed and finished with a hand rubbed Beeswax finish. This will arrive signed and dated. The sign measures 17.5 inches tall by 11.25 wide and has a notch on the back for hanging. Would you like the sign a different color? Message me or add “Note To Seller” for color change at no additional charge! ORDERS ONLY: Once your full payment has been received, your sign will go into production. If you have any special requests or customization requested, please add your requests to the comment section on your order!! Turn around time is 7 days, but I am usually able to ship within 3-4 days of your paid order. I ship USPS and will provide tracking information when your sign ships. If you need it sooner, we can work that out, just message me. Each sign is made for you, so each sign is unique, no two are identical. All of my base painting & lettering is hand painted. Brush strokes may or may not be seen. All of my signs are Rustic & Primitive in Style. Due to the nature of the wood there will be variances in knots, color and cracks. These natural flaws in the wood are what make each piece unique with a character of its own. ALL of my signs are made using NEW Clean Top Grade Knotty White Pine that was cut right here in the USA. All wood is ¾ inch thick. My Pallet Signs are all made by me, using fresh clean pine, never dirty used wood. Each sign is hand sanded, painted and distressed by me, using many coats of paint to achieve that worn old look. My painting, aging technique & lettering is all Hand done. Small imperfections are part of the hand stenciling process, so you may see a slight imperfection on my signs here & there. There is a notch on the back for easy hanging. Made right here in the USA, in the Foothills of The Great Smoky Mountains. Do you have some “Words” you’d like on wood? Message me, I can design anything you’d like and put it on wood. Most of my Signs can be ordered in a larger size and different color. Please send me a message with color request & size preference for a quote. Thanks so much for stopping by….

We rented a classic Adirondack Camp and dressed it up for the holidays. It’s my favorite locale yet! We had so much fun putting together this shoot. It was the perfect backdrop, complete with snow, for our winter collection.

More excuses to 'festive-up' a scene! The darker winter evenings mean less natural light with which to shoot by — although this does make any oil lamps or candles cast a much stronger light relative to the fainter daylight.
I promise I won't post anymore Christmas Decor ideas (fingers crossed). The night before last while lying awake visions of sugarplums were dancing in my head.

How to Decorate A Front Porch For Christmas
Yes—we spared you the inflatable Santas.
This will be our third year spending Christmas day at our family's cabin in the Adirondacks and it has become our family's very favorite tradition. This is pretty much how we all feel when we run away to the mountains after such a hectic holiday season! :) We will spend time with our extended families before we leave and then spend a snowy week in the woods. Today I thought I would share some of the Christmas decor we added to the cabin this year. We set up one of our older artificial trees in the family room earlier this month. Then we will cut down another tree from the property on Christmas Eve to put by the kitchen fireplace. Nothing fancy here. Every Christmas Eve, we make some ornaments to add to the tree. This year, I bought this kit from Paper Source and I am looking forward to putting them together. My boys will groan and make fun of me when I pull this activity out, but then before you know it, they will all be gluing ornaments together and laughing along. Another thing we enjoy is the Trader Joe's Test of Caramels. We had so much fun with that last year! I added a scarf and hat to Jim, the deer head above the fireplace. My stepdad likes to tell the joke that he wonders how fast that deer must have been traveling when he ran into the side of the house and got his head stuck right above the fireplace. :) To us, this house is the most comfortable place in the world and we have made the best memories here. We are so grateful that Billy's parents have shared this cabin with us and allowed us to use it as our own. We hope to provide the same for our boys and their families. I added an Adirondacks pendent and a couple of strings of lantern lights that were Target Dollar Spot finds this past summer. I wish I had thought of using them on the Christmas tree sooner and bought more! A buffalo plaid ribbon as garland adds to the camp style. We painted the small kitchen island red, and it still needs at least another coat of paint (although we already did three coats on top of primer) so this has not been our most successful project to date. Hopefully, we can put another coat on and call it done but I have to admit that I am a bit nervous to return to the cabin and see how it turned out fully dried. I took this picture quick just before we left in the pouring rain on Sunday. Red can be such a difficult paint color to choose! I will be sure to share more pictures of this space when we are there for Christmas. Finally, I saw this picture online the other day and I thought - YES! - there is not a thing I want for Christmas but this. The silence part probably won't be happening, but I will sure be grateful for the rest!

Ski lodge under the stairs! I felt so inspired to turn this nook under our stairs into a mini ski lodge. I wanted to mimic the style I would decorate the lodge with here! First I had to gather the supplies I wanted to use for this space ... vintage ski's, gorgeous sled, my ski lodge sign , my snow boots, and of course a tree for the holidays! When I think about a ski lodge I think about curling up with a hot coffee & relaxing after a day out in the snow. Or if you wouldn't be out
Christmas is coming… and I’m so ready for it! I don’t know about you but I love to make bucket lists with my family. We do one for all the seasons and have for years.
