Here's my guide to the Caravaggio Trail in Rome. This guide covers the life of the groundbreaking Baroque artist. And it tells you where to find his art in Rome. There are 24 of Caravaggio's famous paintings in Rome. They're in Rome's best museums, churches, and secret palaces.
A detailed print of my original painting titled ‘He Heals What Is Broken’. In this painting, Christ puts a vase back together using Kintsugi (金継ぎ, “golden joinery”). This Japanese pottery technique has truly changed my life. It treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise. I love to think of my relationship with Christ in this way. We are never broken beyond repair, because of Him. He offers the healing and love that I need. I will always remember the painful things I have been through, but they are now a beautiful part of my story. Out of shattered pieces, the Savior has the power to create something beautiful. I am so grateful for the countless ways Christ has healed me. I know He has the power to make us whole. How grateful I am to have a Savior who can heal what is broken. I use a beautiful, heavy-weight, acid-free paper for my prints. Prints come unframed and signed by the artist. All of my prints are border-less. Each print is placed in a clear plastic sleeve to protect from moisture while traveling to you, and mailed in a rigid envelope. Colors may vary due to monitor settings.

But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre, And ...she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? (John 20: 11-16) The sacred encounter between a devastated Mary Magdalene and the resurrected Lord is depicted with tender humility by artist J. Kirk Richards. Here, Mary Magdalene weeps beside the empty tomb, heartbroken and unaware of the miracle of the Savior's resurrection. This painting is an expression of the hope and healing offered by the story of Jesus Christ. Shop more religious prints here. Shop all Easter art here. Flat canvases have a 2" white border. A rolled canvas print is normally stretched on wood stretcher bars, whereas archival paper prints are not. Additionally, a stretched canvas can be framed, but it doesn't need to be. Thus, our rolled canvas prints come in their advertized size + mirrored edges by default for easy stretching. Prefer a cut to size rolled canvas print instead, because you want to frame it in a traditional fine art frame behind glass? Then just type ''cut to size'' in our personalization box (listing top right ''add your personalization''). Note that our rolled canvas prints do not come with stretcher bars or frames. Either take it to your local framer, or stretch/frame it yourself. Other sizes than listed in our drop-down menu available upon request! Have something in mind that you don't see in our shop? For this work, Rockwell posed the young model at the top of the stairs in his own home and assembled a group of friends and neighbours downstairs. Once he was satisfied with the photos, Rockwell would return to his studio and combine his preliminary sketches with the photos to create a series of small-scale colour studies. These preliminary sketches allowed Rockwell to experiment with colour and provide a glimpse into the artist’s creative process. After executing several colour studies for Little Girl Looking Downstairs at Christmas Party, Rockwell ultimately decided to add additional details to the work and final painting, including the young girl’s doll and wreath on the banister.
