Just like every other little girl in the world, this year my Ada just HAD to have a Frozen birthday party. What kind of mother would I be if I didn't comply? So here is my girl's Frozen Party… Complete with FREE PRINTABLES!! Frozen Invitations: Template Download HERE What you get: You can use a photo editing program to add your text like Photoshop or Picasa (free Picasa download HERE) And THANK YOU to my amazing bestie Candace for your help on those. You're my HERO!!! For decorations I used those cheap plastic party tablecloths to make the kitchen more "wintry white" and cover up my dark wood cabinets and not to mention for super easy cleanup with our pint size party goers. I hung plastic icicles from the bottom of the cabinets underneath (found at Hobby Lobby… thank heavens they put their Christmas things out in August! And it was all 50% off too! WhaaHooo!). And used big puffy snowflake stickers to hold it all together (also found at Hobby Lobby, I'm pretty sure they were actually window decals but whatever.) And I had snowflake cupcake wrappers, but they were too big and my cupcakes just fell straight through them. Mental note to check that before the party next time. Striped paper straws found at Hobby Lobby Blue Rock Candy found at Oriental Trading HERE For beverages we had "Glacier Juice" (aka: Koolaid Blasts in Berry Blue) Free Frozen Glacier Juice Label download HERE (just cut and attach with scotch tape) What you get: And we also had "Melted Snow" (aka: bottled water) Free Frozen water bottle label download HERE (just cut and attach with scotch tape) What you get: My Sister-in-law brought these awesome Frozen figurines and snow globe. Similar Figurines found on Amazon HERE Do You Wanna Build A Snowman Favors- with one extra large. one large and two small marshmallows, Pretzel sticks, m&m's (brown, regular size), chocolate chips (mini), and orange Mike&Ike's for the nose so our little party goers could build their very own delicious snowman at home. I bought one box (movie theatre size, found in candy section of grocery store) of Mike&Ikes and made 20 favor bags and still had plenty orange ones left in the box for more. Of course I made the favor tag; Free Frozen Favor Tag Download HERE What you get: We told everyone they could dress up for the party I worked for a week straight sewing Ada a one of a kind Elsa costume. We're going to Disney this year and I want the girl's to be able to dress up like princesses without wearing the expensive, yet cheaply made polyester princess costumes. So I had the genius idea to make Ada's Elsa costume with a separate shirt and skirt. The shirt is comfy cotton, short sleeved so she won't be hot outside in Florida, and the cape is detachable (with velcro). She can wear the long fancy skirt to her party and Halloween, but a short tutu and comfy leggings to Disney. This is her and her cousin both as Elsa My E came as Anna My Mr. was Oaken "Hoo Hoo! Big summer blowout!" And Uncle Kevan and Aunt Brooke were the King and Queen. Seriously nailed it! Baby Kenzie was a troll We had little Elsa and Anna crowns for all of our little girl party goers, and Sven antlers for the boys. Sorry, can't share the crowns with you because the owner requested me not too. BUT… Never fear my dears, there are LOTS of other places to find free crown downloads! There is a pretty Elsa crown download HERE Theres a super fancy glitter Elsa and Anna crown HERE You can create your own using this free clipart download HERE There is a cute download and fun tutorial of an Elsa crown HERE And this site has 2 pretty and free downloads for an Elsa and an Anna crown on her Frozen Party post found HERE And also HERE is an easy Elsa crown and Sven antler template that they traced onto craft foam and cut out. EASY PEASY! For the ones I used, I took "blue" and "opal" glitter glue and traced the edges of Ada's crown to make it shimmer and fancy it up so it didn't look so flat. It was easier to tie the crowns and antlers on instead of cutting out and taping strips of paper together like you see in some places. I just punched a hole in both edges of the crown and pulled a length of tulle through them like so: Worked great! I get the small rolls of tulle that you can get at any craft store and in the craft section at Walmart. Just FYI, the glittery tulle leaves glitter "fairy" dust EVERYWHERE! Lets just say your whole house will SPARKLE if you choose to use it! We played with Snow Dough. Made with lotion, baking soda and lots and lots of glitter that my sweet Miss May helped me make. Recipe found HERE on http://www.growingajeweledrose.com I used "disco" glitter found at Hobby Lobby I also sprinkled in bit of extra fine glitter in "blue". It gave the "snow" a blue tint like the glaciers in Alaska. The "snow" was extra awesome because it's kind of cold when you touch it, moldable, and completely fun! When they were done, I stuck the Snow Dough straight into clear treat bags (favor bags) tied with a piece of tulle so they could take it home with them. I even printed a little tag and stuck it to the outside of the bag so parents knew what the "goop" inside was. So sorry, no picture, this part of the party was kind of crazy! BUT… Free Frozen "Snow Dough" label Printable HERE (I used these Avery clear address labels). It really looked like I had the bags specially printed, but nope, just clear labels! What you get: Then we played "Pin the Nose on Olaf" I found a picture of Olaf and used it to draw a bigger version on a length of painting paper (easel and paper roll from Ikea) Free Frozen Olaf Printable HERE (I used as a guide to draw my big Olaf, but also great for printing and just displaying character pictures around your party) What you get: Free Frozen Olaf nose Template HERE; (I printed on orange cardstock and cut out) What you get: I also posted pictures of the cast characters around the room for the kiddos that I found doing free Google image searches. Free Frozen Cast Printable HERE (this one I used to make my beverage labels) What you get: And HERE What you get: And HERE What you get: To keep with our "Frozen" we had an ice cream topping bar, because what's more frozen delicious than ice-cream? Nothing I tell ya! Toppings included: M&M's, mini chocolate chips, gummi bears, Reeses pieces, Heath Bar toppins (found in baking section by chocolate chips), Mike&Ikes, Snowcaps, chocolate sprinkles, rainbow sprinkles, chopped peanuts, chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, Magic Shell and, of course, maraschino cherries. Instead of regular bowls I used Keebler waffle cone bowls found at any grocery store. It was the perfect size sundae serving for the kids. Then they got to add whatever delicious toppings they wanted. PS- "Magic Shell" was the biggest hit! She declared this to be "da greatest birfday ever!" This past weekend we celebrated my sweet Lola's 2nd birthday party. I can't believe I officially have a toddler. I am absolutely loving this age (most of the time). A few weeks ago when I was tucking her in she said, "I wuv you mommy!" which melted my heart! My little girl is like all the others when it comes to Frozen - she is obsessed. If we aren't watching the movie, we are singing along to the music in our car or playing with our Anna and Elsa dolls. So I knew that this theme would be perfect! I wanted it to be a character themed party but not "too charactery" if you know what I mean. I hope you enjoy the pictures, it sure was fun to plan! Here are the cool party details! Our favors for our guests were Olaf bubbles. Most of our guests were very young or family members, so I didn't want to have too much as far as favors. Lola loves bubbles and she and her cousin had a blast blowing them outside. I just bought a small pack of bubbles and drew the Olaf face on them with a Sharpie. Super easy and fun! For the entrance I placed the picture of Lola in her Elsa dress, which was also on the invitations we sent out to our guests. I printed out a super cute (and FREE!) printable from here. I also added a cute little Olaf figurine to go with our theme. I created her number wall again this year. It's so much fun to display how much she's grown and all the fun things we've done in the past year. I had a hard time picking out my favorites! I found this Frozen wipe board at the Target Dollar Section and scooped up a couple. It was displayed on the back of our door as our guests left. I also had one on the bathroom that read, "Royal Throne." For the front door I drew an Olaf with another quote from the movie. I thought it turned out super cute. I watched a youtube video to learn how to draw him step-by-step. It wasn't super hard and I got it done in one night. It was a fun way to greet our guests. Now for the party food! For our menu, we wanted something EASY. Last year, Tyler cooked hamburgers and was stuck out by the grill for part of the party. This year we wanted fast and easy so we could focus more on the fun stuff! The adorable white signs featured are from Jane.com. Arendelle's Snow Caps were the Snow Caps candy of course! A kiss to melt a frozen hard was Hershey's Kisses (Cookies and Cream blue to match!) I purchased the pails from Party City. Kristoff's Ice Candy matched our theme as well! To make the party curtains I purchased 3 sheets of plastic tablecloths from the Dollar Tree ($3 total!). My sister and I cut them into strips and I braided the top half. This was the thing I received the most compliments on and was so cheap and easy. I really think the backdrops makes the party so fun and festive. It turned out so cute! We made a mini cake for Lola to blow out her candles. My talented sister whipped this up. I love how it turned out. Some "Melted Snow" for our guests to drink! Cookies turned out ADORABLE. They were made by Tina's Homemade Goodies. Not only did they look amazing, they tasted just as wonderful as they looked! Our guests gobbled them up too! A bit hit! Our main dish was "We finish each other's sandwiches" (another Frozen quote). We ordered a party platter from Jimmy Johns and I decorated them with little flags as a fun detail. Sven's Snacks were veggies and dip! We ordered Lola's outfit from a company called Sweet Tee Pies. I've ordered a few things from this company and I have absolutely loved their products. Did I mention the skirt and bow came with it! The biggest part of the party was of course when Elsa herself showed up!! When she came in the door, Lola RAN to her room.. which I thought was a little strange, she usually will just hid behind me. As I went in her room to see what she was doing I saw she was pulling out her Anna and Elsa Pajamas to show her! It was the cutest thing ever. She loved having Elsa there to read books and help open presents. My parents got her a Frozen radio that plays the songs and when she heard her voice she looked at Elsa and said "WOW." We ended the party with some cute family pictures! Enjoy!

Hi guys! Today I'm sharing a tutorial for these pretty 3D paper snowflakes, which happen to be one of my favorite holiday crafts! Not only are they completely lovely, but they're also incredibly simple to make. The best part is, you can make them in just about any size, so you could make little ones to hang on your Christmas tree, or big ones to hang from the ceiling! They're a lovely, wintery decoration that really pretties up any space you put them in. In fact, I made some to hang in the office at work out of some recycled paper, and they look absolutely lovely. So! Let's jump into making them! As usual, it all begins with some supplies! To make one snowflake you'll need: - 6 squares of paper in the color and size of your choosing. I made mine 8 1/2"x8 1/2" when I made the large snowflake and 4 1/4"x 4 1/4" when I made the smaller ones. - Scissors - Glue dots. Or a glue gun. Or tape and a stapler. I prefer glue dots, but you can choose what works best for you, or what you have most readily available. - A stapler - A hole punch - Pretty string for hanging your snowflakes 1. Fold one of your paper squares in half along the diagonal to form a triangle. 2. Use your scissors to cut lines parallel to the non-folded edges of your triangle. You'll want to cut from the folded edge towards the center point, being sure to stop a little bit before you reach the center. Repeat until you have three lines cut into each side of the triangle. Be sure to space the lines evenly so you'll have a consistent looking snowflake when you're all done. When you're done, you should have something that looks like the above photo! 3. Next, open up your triangle and bring the center two points up towards each other. Apply your adhesive and bring one point over the other to form a cylinder. 4. Next, turn everything over and bring the next two points up towards each other, apply your adhesive, and form another cylinder. Repeat this, alternating sides, until all the points have been joined. 5. Once you're done, you should have something that looks like this! Repeat steps 1-4 until you have all 6 squares of paper done up like this. Aren't these pretty just on their own? Love! 6. Next, take three of your pretty shapes and bring their bottom points together. Once you get them evened out, staple the points together. 7. Next, use your stapler to join the edges of your shapes. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the other 3 shapes. 8. Now that you've joined your smaller shapes into groups of 3, you should have two pieces. Bring the bottom points together, overlapping them, and staple them together. 9. Then, staple the last two sides together, and you'll be just about done! Ta-da!!!!!! Isn't that lovely??? 10. Now that your pretty snowflake is all made up, you just need to hang it! Punch a hole in one of the points of the snowflake, knot a piece of your pretty string through the hole, and hang away! Aren't they the prettiest? I know they seem like they take quite a few steps, but each one of these only takes about 5 minutes to put together. Once you get the first one down, you'll be churning them out faster than you know it! I hope you enjoyed following along with this tutorial and I hope you get a chance to hang some of these pretties in your home this winter! Til next time! -Becca Follow me on: Bloglovin/Facebook/Instagram
