The first things that come to mind when thinking about cute animals are dogs or cats. Then you may remember bunnies and hamsters, but cows wouldn’t be at the top of the list. And it’s a shame because they have the most adorable faces too.
The largest region of Scotland, the Scottish Highlands are beautiful to visit. These are my tips for visiting places like Glenfinnan Viaduct.

One of the most sought-after Scottish experiences is meeting our hairy and loveable Highland cows. Or as we Scots call them, Highland coos!

Highland cow, Loch Arklet, Trossachs. When I arrived at the loch, a few of these fearsome-looking beasts were standing by the fenceline. Knowing them to be gentle in the extreme, despite their fearsome appearance, I climbed over the fence and walked about 50 yards towards the loch .. and sat down on my rucksack and waited. Sure enough, after about 5 or 10 minutes, their curiosity got the better of them and they wandered over to see who this human was .. and before long I was being sniffed and snuffled in places I didn't even know I had places. When they discovered I didn't have any food for them, however, they lost interest .. and left me to get on with my photography. IMPORTANT NOTE: They sometimes forget that they've got dangerous horns - so be careful! www.karlwilliamsphotography.co.uk
