I offer a unique perspective that will forever tell the story of your special day, family, or life milestones. Capture the joy with an experienced, award winning photojournalist and portrait photographer. Wedding ~ Senior ~ Family ~ Sports ~ Events About me: Please bear with me, I am not a writer, and not a fan of talking about myself. I have loved photography since my sophomore year in high school, at Mt Baker when I was shown the most wonderful place on earth, a darkroom! After that, I think I spent the majority of my time there and still miss the smell of fixer on my hands. I have kept it as a hobby ever since. My kids will have more pictures of themselves then they will ever know what to do with. I recently upgraded to the wonderful world of digital slr’s. It’s a long way from my AE-1 or N65, both of which I still have and my boys love to use. Its taken me a bit to be convinced that digital can still have the depth that film does (still not 100%) but with the cost of developing and storing everything I broke down. I am loving my hobby all over again. Instant gratification is great, seeing that great picture right away is pretty cool, I have to admit. I have the amazing opportunity and luck to actually make my passion my job. My husband works as a supervisor at BP and I am extremely lucky for this. It has allowed me to set my own hours in my work and to be as busy or as slow as our schedule allows. I was a mortgage originator for 6 yrs and in banking of some sort for 11. I have always wanted to take the jump and make this my "real" job, and finally took the leap. To be cliche', I have not looked back! I am learning and practicing as much as possible through classes and workshops. I love to take pictures at all types of events, wedding, birthday parties, dances, family gatherings, you name it. I love seeing the story, feeling and emotion frozen in a photograph. If I had to choose my favorite thing to photograph I would have to say seniors and sports wins hands down. It's wonderful to have a passion and career that involves my family. My husband likes it, well because he loves sports. He is almost entirely to blame for my love of them. I figured, after having 2 boys, if you can't beat them join them! My kids love it because they like to see and share photos of themselves, their teams and friends. Please comment on anything, email me with advise, suggestions, anything that will help. One thing I love about sports photography is that no matter what there is always going to be a new angle, new style of picture and someone better then me or has a different take or style on what makes a great picture. There is always another level to get to and It will never be boring. Your purchases and downloads support youth programs and sports. A portion of the proceeds from the youth galleries will be donated to the programs they are of.
