This is a 1940s knitting pattern to knit a cute blouse / jumper with short puffed sleeves and a collar in a v shaped cable rib. It was originally published on September 27, 1941. This pattern was originally published in Dutch and has been translated to English by me personally (that's why they are slightly higher priced than my other PDF patterns). You don't just get a piece of translated text - it's been put back into the original layout! You will receive a PDF of both the original Dutch pattern and the English translation. The pattern consists of written instructions, a schematic for the pattern pieces and a chart for the stitch pattern. Materials Required: 400 grams (14 oz) wool. 2 knitting needles no. 3 (3 mm / US 2.5) Measurements: Finished size at underarm ca. 96 cm / 37¾ in. Tension: Not given but calculated to be ca. 25 sts. per 10 cm (4 in.) (in cable rib). Yarn weight given is “a not too thin 3-ply”. Estimated to be a 5-ply in modern yarn based on stitch tension. ♥♥ Ravelry link ♥♥ http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/bij-een-mantelpak You will need a PDF reader (like adobe acrobat) to open this file. All yellow backgrounds, creases and tears have been removed to make the pattern easily readable and printer friendly.

Adopt your very own! Dice Monsters are fuzzy dice-eating companions. Each adorable little monster has an appetite for about 50 dice at a time. Too much feeding makes their tummy hurt, so be sure not to feed past ‘snug’. Each Dice Monster is lovingly raised by hand at the Dice Monster Farm, where our expert caregiver ensures the qualities most desired by prospective parents shine through in the matured (well, physically, at least) Monster before allowing an adoption to take place. Just like people, each Dice Monster is unique. No two grow up to look exactly the same. Pictured above are Botch (White with Black Eyes) and Crit (Black with Red Eyes). Botch is the first of his kind! He’s the oldest of the litter and thinks he’s smarter than the rest; he likes D10s (the pink ones in particular), but isn’t picky about what he eats. Crit, Botch’s brother, is an elite gamer. Crit likes D6s and gaming late at night, though he stays away from Cheetos and Mountain Dew (they go right to his fur). His favorite game is Vampire, but he also likes some miniatures games as well. He wears a ring for each of his characters that has met its Final Death, so he never forgets them. All of the ones pictured have been adopted already, but you can get one too! Just tell me what you want, and I will go on down to the Dice Monster Farm and see who’s been born recently. ^^ Details that I will need to begin the adoption process: Body Color Eye Color ‘Mouth’ Color (Zipper Color) Ear Type and Tail Type (The last part, depending on complexity, may have an additional cost. Please send me a message so we can discuss your perfect Dice Monster!) Some of them may come with piercings, or maybe even other surprises. No parent can perfectly predict how a child will develop, after all! Luckily for you, though, these additions will come at no additional cost over the standard adoption fee. I can’t control how they might choose to express themselves, and you shouldn’t suffer for that! After you send me your adoption paperwork and the ‘processing fee’ (listed at the top of the page), expect a week delay as I comb through the Monsters to find the perfect one for you. Once I get your new Monster all ready, I will carefully bundle him up for the journey to your house. I only send these guys to addresses in the United States for now, as I am a new farmer and don’t want to upset them by sending them too far away from home until they have a chance to acclimate to the idea. Please allow up to 7-10 days for your Dice Monster to get to your door after I send you the adoption photo. Disclaimer: Dice monsters should not get wet, as they will be very upset by this. They also don’t like snacking on anything except dice, so please don’t feed them anything besides their prefered diet. If you are Local to me and we are friends, send me a message on Facebook and we can finalize your adoption in person to save on travel costs. If you have any other ideas for nifty Monsters or other projects you’d love to see, feel free to browse the rest of my shop. And if you don’t see the perfect solution for you, message me! I always love discussing new ideas and coming up with new projects. This listing is only for the dice monster. No dice will be included.
You guys, I find myself daydreaming about a stuffed animal, and it’s all Purl Soho’s fault. I thought the Bobble Sheep Pillow was super cute and well done when they first published the pattern a few years ago, but I mean, it’s a pillow that looks like the profile of a sheep — not a thing I […]

The Minervacardigan is a simple yet elegant vintageinspired cardigan with a timeless feel. It is knit from the bottom up in stockinette stitch, has a simple raglansleeve decrease, and feminine puff sleeves. A cardigan for all occasions! Needles: 3,5mm & 4mm Yarn option: Fabel Knitwear Ask Yarn option : Pickles Pure Wool Size: (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL Bust: approx. (80cm) 90cm (100cm) 108cm (118cm) 127cm (132cm) 146cm Note that this pattern has no intended ease across the bust and is meant to fit just so. I would recommend somewhere between -4 to +4 cm of ease, depending on how you like your cardigans to fit, but it is not intended to be oversized. It should be snug across the body. Quantity Pure Wool: (200g) 200g (200g) 300g (300g) 400g (400g) 400g Quantity Ask: (200g) 250g (300g) 300g (350g) 400g 400g 450g Gauge: 20 = 10cm NOTE ON AVAILABLE SIZES - if you want to knit this, or any of my patterns, in a larger size than I currently have published, please get in touch! The only reason it is not available in larger sizes is I couldn’t get testknitters for those sizes, and I don’t want anyone to pay for a pattern and knit a size thats not been tested. So if you would like to (test)knit this - or any of my patterns! - in a larger size than is currently available, drop me a message and I’ll send you the pattern for free! NOTE ON JKR and Harry Potter: As this pattern is named after the Harry Potter universe, I have to make it clear that I support trans rights. I do NOT agree with JKRs violent views. As a result of this I will no longer be taking any inspiration from her work.

***PLEASE NOTE - This listing is for a crochet pattern and is not for the completed item!*** This pattern is for the boat with duck floatie, life ring, fishing rod and anchor as well as the mouse and its life-jacket and hat! The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. The pattern has been independently tested prior to publication. You will need: Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used Patons Smoothie DK yarn for the majority of my project (this is quite a thick DK yarn so it is equivalent to aran or light worsted weight in other brands) and my finished boat measures approximately 28cm long and 13.5cm tall. Please ensure that you use the same weight yarn to make both your boat and the mouse & the accessories to ensure that they will fit. You will need the following colours: Main mouse colour - I used pale grey & cream (approx. 23.5m of each colour). Nose / ears / feet / tail colour - I used pale pink (approx. 26m to make 2 mice). Main boat colour - I used white (approx. 276m). Seat colour - I used beige (approx. 96m). Screen & motor colour - I used dark grey (approx. 45m). Stripe colour - I used red (approx. 4.5m). Anchor colour - I used black (approx. 10m). Life ring / life vest / fish colour - I used orange (approx. 37m). Duck floatie colour - I used yellow approx. 27m). Please Note = The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice. You will also need: A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook. 3 pairs of 6mm black safety eyes (2 pairs for the mice & 1 pair for the duck floatie). Some toy stuffing. Some finer black yarn or thread for adding the details to the mouse’s face, and the name to the boat. ‘7 count’ plastic canvas. I had a 26cm x 33cm sheet (that’s 10.25 x 13.5 inches) & I used just under 2 sheets. A higher count (that’s the number of holes per inch) will mean the plastic is more bendy so stick to 7 count if possible. 2 small buttons for fastening the life vests (& a needle and thread with which to attach them). 2 medium buttons for fastening the duck floatie & life ring to the boat (& a needle and thread with which to attach them). Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers. You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Thank you.
