My third 12 tags of Christmas. First I made a pale blue watercolour background with Distress Inks on a tag die cut from watercolour paper. Various shades of green DI reinkers were dropped on a piece of cut’n dry foam (Tim second example of the technique) and it was used to ink the trees. I misted them very lightly before stamping and loved the multi-green look of the trees. Perfect Pearls mixed with water was misted very lightly on the tag, a little bit heavier on the left hand trees, since I wanted them to look more like they were in the background. Then I remember that I had a tree embossing folder, and embossed the right hand group of trees to make them stand out more (hard to see on the photo). A piece of brown Core’dinations cardstock was glued to grungepaper and the car was die cut from the piece. It was sanded and then inked with Black Soot. I redid the technique from tag 2 of hammering brads with a texture hammer. The tree was stamped with the same green pad on kraft paper and glued to grungepaper. White flocking was added as snow on the tree, on the ground beneath the big trees and here and there in the sky. The ticket was stamped using a custom stamp pad, as Tim showed for the background of tag 3. It was a left over from last year when I stamped out a ton of these tickets. The road was made by embossing black Core’dinations cardstock with a ledger folder and then sanding it. The text on the car translates ‘Jingle Bells’ and I thought it fit so well together with the two bells tied at the top of the tag (I love such little details). TFL!! Today's tag is definitely my favorite. I was so happy when I saw I had almost all the materials, until I saw I had to use wide tape. Something I had not, of course, so in my despair the project took a whole different twist. I'm very satisfied with the outcome. Today I have also broken our usual Christmas tradition, because I haven´t baked "jew cookies" but instead tried to bake a sugar cake. I am very excited to taste them. I dag har jeg også brudt vores normale juletradition, for jeg har nemlig undladt at bage jødesmåkager med har istedet for prøvet at bage sukker kringler. Dem er jeg meget spændt på. What you bake for Christmas? Hvad bager du til jul? Thanks for stopping by Tak fordi du kiggede forbi.

Day 4 tag Here's my next three tags for the 12 Tags of Christmas put on by Tim You can't see the crackle very well but its there. I had to improvise as I have no distress stains. Day 3 tag No large words but used a Tim image and the embossing folder of bricks. Day 2 tag Lots of improvising as I didn't have the deer die. So I stamped a deer on muslin fabric and stitched around it I Love the flower I made from burlap and the Holly die. It really is fun coming up with your own ideas. I'm running behind with all the holiday prep. But hope to visit you all soon!
Yes it´s time for a new challenge over at Digi Darla. I am absolutely in love with Digi Darla´s wonderful images! I can´t get enough of them, lol. This time we are looking for tags! You don't have to use a Digi Darla image, but if you do, you get entered into a second draw! Make sure you put DD before or after your name when you link your creation to the challenge. This week is a bit sad since we're saying goodbye to Shea. Shea, thank you so much for inspiring us each and every week and please, come join us when you can. You'll be missed!!! This is what I made, a Christmas tag! Used DD Candy Canes and you can find it here. I used some paper from a Swedish manufacture called Reprint. Some small alpha stickers from Kaiser Kraft. I think an old bit of string at the top made it look neat. Used a lot of chalk around the edges as well. As normal I coloured with ProMarkers and Faber Castell pencils. Well hope you pop by Digi Darla´s Challenge blog and play along with us. We love to come visit you! I would also like to enter following challenges: The Paper Nest Dolls Challenge #4 - Pearls, pearls, pearls Scrappy Frogs Challenge - Anything Goes Bloggers Challenge - Tags Chalk N Stock, May challenge - Anything Goes as long as you involve chalk
