Connecting with the outdoors can be a calming experience. The crisp air is fresh and inviting, urging you to explore your surroundings. Moving deeper into the woods, the sounds of trees swaying, insects buzzing, and birds chirping are sweet. But one of the most special moments is catching the start of a new day. The warm rays of the sun turn the deep sky into a color show of crimson, fuchsia and gold before the bright blue morning sky makes itself fully known. Dawn To Earth nail polish pays homage to the rising sun. A bright, cobalt blue jelly base boldly mimics the deep blue, early morning skies. A strong pink shimmer pops against the blue base showing of hues of fuchsia, rose, and in some lights, peach, and gold. This jelly polish is best in 2-3 coats. Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic, Anhydride Copolymer, Isopropyl Alcohol, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Silica, Benzophenone-3, N-Butyl Alcohol, Violet 2 May Contain: Aluminum Powder, Mica, Iron Oxide, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Ultramarines, Red 6, Red 22, Red 30, Red 28, Red 34 , Red 7, Orange 5, Yellow 5, Yellow 11, Yellow 6, Yellow 10, Blue 1, Black 2, Violet 2 Ext , Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorophylogopite, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Polyurethane 33, Silver, Chromium, Magnesium Fluoride, Bismuth Oxychloride.
Growing up, I had a magical tree-lined fortress. Vibrant green leaves easily hid my friends by late spring, sparking afternoon games of hide and seek. As the days warmed, fragrant blue and purple blooms added to the magic of our favorite fortress, as the huge “trees” were actually lilacs nurtured for years into some of the largest bushes I have ever seen. Lilac It Or Not nail polish pays homage to those aromatic bunches of tiny blossoms. A cool blue base offers up a bed for holo glow flakes to twinkle and shine. Subtle lighting or shade, along with different viewing angles, bring out lavender and purple hues, while brighter lighting amps up an icy blue shimmer and those holo sparkles. Best in two coats, this floral shade will be one you’ll love regardless of the season. **All photos are from the same batch, but lighting, skin tones, and cameras may affect the brightness and tone. ** Type: Holo Glow Flake Base: 5-Free Glitter Load: Medium Glitter Size: Micro-Small Recommended Coats: 2 Coats Notes: For best results, follow with a quick-dry top coat Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Adipic Acid/Neopentyl Glycol/Trimellitic, Anhydride Copolymer, Isopropyl Alcohol, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Silica, Benzophenone-3, N-Butyl Alcohol, Violet 2 May Contain: Aluminum Powder, Mica, Iron Oxide, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Ultramarines, Red 6, Red 22, Red 30, Red 28, Red 34 , Red 7, Orange 5, Yellow 5, Yellow 11, Yellow 6, Yellow 10, Blue 1, Black 2, Violet 2 Ext , Titanium Dioxide, Synthetic Fluorophylogopite, Calcium Sodium Borosilicate, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Polyurethane 33, Silver, Chromium, Magnesium Fluoride, Bismuth Oxychloride.

Press Sample Ethereal Lacquer's polish for the Limited Edition Summer Cocktails Duo arrived today and all I can say is OMHOLO! It has crazy strong holo and is a gorgeous shade. I'd describe it as a lavender but almost periwinkle, like right on the very edge - maybe hydrangea is a better color to compare it to than lavender. It's quite an unusual shade and I want to say it's got some rose gold shimmer in it. Whatever it is, it's absolutely magical and I love it a lot! I stamped a dandelion from plate VL024, I think it's the perfect accent! If you've not heard of the Lilac Haze cocktail, have a peep at this recipe for it. Definitely a pretty drink and a beautiful polish. The polish formula is very fluid and easy to apply, opaque in two coats. My first experience with Ethereal Lacquer has left me wanting more, I'm sure lemmings will be born when I start surfing around looking at swatches. Do you have a favorite EL to suggest? The Summer Cocktail duo is available for preorder now until 6/14 1am central at the Literary Lacquers shop for $22 plus shipping worldwide.
Hey there! Today I'm finally sharing some super easy galaxy nail art I did last month. I don't know why I hadn't shared these earlier because I loved them. I love all galaxy nails and I particular liked these because they were so simple. I was looking to use some of the Picture Polish 2014 Limited Edition shades that I hadn't used yet and thought they'd be perfect for this! I'm sure everyone has seen plenty of beautiful galaxy nail art before (I even shared some here when I first started my blog last year) but, if you haven't tried them yourself, they're very simple. Generally, start with a dark base and use little bits of sponge to sponge on colours, add some stars and you're good to go. For these I started with a black base and added bits of Picture Polish Altered State, Aurora, Gravity, Solar Flare and possibly Borealis but I can't remember for sure. The Limited Editions work great for this because they already have scattered holographic particles that look like stars built right in. Their colour shifts help too :-) To add a few more stars, rather than using a dotter or spraying my fingers with paint off a toothbrush, I stamped an image off Lily Anna -01 and Konad White. I scraped the plate like crazy because I didn't want quite as many stars as the image has and I didn't want them really opaque. I was going for the subtle look so the stamping wouldn't overwhelm the Picture Polish beauty. I know that Aurora and Borealis are pretty much impossible to find now but I just checked and the other Picture Polish Limited Editions are still available at Nail Polish Canada (that's where I bought mine), Picture Polish, Harlow & Co., Llarowe and possible the rest of the Picture Polish Network (I only checked the places I usually shop at, sorry). 'Til next time...
