“….Salagadoola mechicka boola bibbidi-bobbidi-boo It’ll do magic believe it or not Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo…..” I still have no words….seems that Heidi did some magic ;) this one is perfect: it’s cool it’s cozy it’s so stylish and it’s sooooo me (you were so right Heidi…Thank you!) …when I first saw Heidis sample for this design, I immediately had to order some cascade 220 sport…just to be prepared for the release of the pattern (because I knew that I need to have one for me)…So I immediately had to cast on for it when lovely Heidi sent me the pattern, no matter how much other work was to do ;) and here we are only one little mod: due to my tiny dimensions I omitted the last body repeat

Look what landed at my house over the weekend? My Mr. and I took off Friday on a hunt. We got up at 3:30 AM...that's a in the m, talking. and drove to Salt Lake City (apparently, that is where retired vintage trailers are) We had narrowed it down to 2 choices... on the drive I asked My Mr. what he was looking for. He said he wanted something inexpensive, that we could use to go camping with the kids, and that was NOT a lot of work. We looked at the first one... It was $600.00 but needed new tires before we could leave town; It was clean on the inside with just a bit of water damage. but we still wanted to look at Choice #2. This one was one My MR. had been working on for 2 weeks. The seller would not send us interior photos now, we knew why it was a mess...dirty, gross, water damage but wait he'll take $375... We went with this info: 10 Things To Look For When Buying A Vintage Trailer...found here Choice #2 had 7 out of 10 things... wrong!!! I pretty much left the choice up to My MR. (He does need to pick some things, right?) I really wanted choice #1..it was easy and ready for me to start decorating... Guess which one My MR. choose? Yep, the project . ??????? Yep, I'm still confused, too. I think he liked the *canned ham* lines. This is the story of our life We buy work. We have a family camp-out scheduled in 2 weeks. No problem, right? We came home and took out as much stuff as possible, started cleaning, then primed the entire thing in oil-based primer. Already, she is much better. I kept saying, "white paint is my friend" If you follow my pinterest boards...you can see what I have been pinning for the past week. ahh...the internet....so many ideas... my head is spinning from the possibilities. First, there is the outside: This one is just too cute. I'm sure My MR.could do polka dots. No problem, it would be easy. (the pearl...found here) Then, there is this one. The paint color matches the paint color of our pink lady The ever popular turquoise and then there is the placement of color.... Do I even want color? How about just white? Next, we get to think about the inside. I could do this look. (kind of like my girl's bedroom) vintage-y but bright and happy Then there is the good ole shabby-look I could use up a few things I've been hanging onto like my Simply Shabby accessories How about retro? Magnolia Pearl style? Romantic? I love the beadboard and embossed wallpaper These are important decisions, right? After, I pulled out a few fabric choices...My MR. saw a floral print and said "Don't make it pretty". What?! I think he forgot who he married! I'm not even sure that is possible. (He doesn't even know I've been dreaming of chandeliers) He suggested industrial...I guess he has been listening when I chat on about decorating styles. I think this one marries pretty and industrial just perfectly, don't you? Lesslie Newbigin has a fascinating take on freedom & justice as mutual relatedness based on inner-Trinitarian relatedness. Is this from Barth? ... the Bible is informed by a vision of human nature for which neither freedom nor equality is fundamental; what is fundamental is relatedness. Man - male and female - is made for God in such a way that being in the image of God involves being bound together in this most profound of mutual relations. God binds himself in a covenant relationship with men and women to which he remains faithful at whatever cost and however unfaithful his covenant partner is. And people and nations are called to live in binding covenant relations of brotherhood. Human beings reach their true end in such relatedness, in bonds of mutual love and obedience that reflect the mutual relatedness in love that is the being of the Triune God himself... True freedom is not found by seeking to develop the powers of the self without limit, for the human person is not made for autonomy but for true relatedness in love and obedience... Nor will the quest for equality create real justice, for justice - the giving to each of what is proper - can only be realized in a mutual relatedness in which each gives to the other the love and obedience that enable all to be truly human. Apart from this, the quest for justice become self-destructive, since it is of the very essence of fallen human nature that each of us overestimates what is due to the self and underestimates what is due to the other. Lesslie Newbigin, Foolishness to the Greeks: The Gospel and Western Culture (Eerdmans, 1986): 118-9.

After seeing Katrins and Fraukes beautiful Birkis I needed one for myself. This has been my first steek project and it won’t be the last. Love it and it is sooo comfy. Added short rows before and after working the yoke. I used a provisional cast on and knitted the yoke first. Then picked up the stitches of the provisional cast on and knitted the rest of the sweater top down.
