unbelievably, this house has been renovated into condos and is currently in very nice condition. not an exact restoration, the back of the house was altered and added onto and the central tower was not restored to the original design.

This is how the Lucien Moore house looked the first time I saw it in 2001. There have been many incredible pictures taken of this place in decay. It's size and architectural complexity made it all the more impressive as it drifted into a dark, Gothic oblivion. With the disappearance of most of the mansions of Brush Park in Detroit, it was a huge surprise to learn that it was being rebuilt as a project of HGTV.
