Today is my last subway shot from Moscow. It is on the way out. Every station I visited had at least 3 escalators, and one was always stopped. I imagine that they run all three during the week when it is busy, but not during the weekends I guess. This one at Komsomolskaya was actually one of the shorter escalators and still is more than minute long ride. The longest escalator in Europe in in a different station - Park Pobedy - which takes more than 3 minutes to ride (and I didn't take it because the military with machine guns and dogs asked me to stop taking pictures in that station so I didn't mess around). Funny thing here was I was standing right next to the station lady in her little booth and she watched me taking photographs here - but never said a word. Like the only person to not bother me about photos the whole time. I guess she just didn't care... ----- My new Atlanta sunrise location (not a sunrise shot though) 075/365

Античные храмы, целые библиотеки, роскошь и хай-тек. GQ Travel спустился под землю, где история страны написана станциями московского метро.
In the days of popular retrofuturism (say, the first half of the twentieth century) people tended to imagine the world of tomorrow looking very much like the world of today, only with a lot more flying cars, monorails, and videophones.
If you do not speak or understand Russian, the Moscow Metro can seem complicated to use. However, when you begin using it you will quickly realize that in reality it is very simple
