Is NBC giving viewers a hint at what's to come with this first look at the 2021-2022 season?

What a relief. The Rookie has been a very steady ratings draw for ABC over the last decade, but the show was getting down to the wire in terms of renewal plans. The Hollywood strikes sort of threw off the normal rollout for TV in terms of network renewals, and the more time passed, the more fear there was over a possible Rookie cancelation.

CSI: Vegas could definitely benefit from the success of One Chicago!

Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) is always around, even if he doesn't have a ton to do. The character is a Chicago Fire mainstay, and given the drama that the rest of the 51 contends with on a regular basis, it's nice to have someone as stable and consistent as Boden in the mix.
