Another artist with a great style and a captivating way of presenting his drawings. Russian artist Rim Umyarov wears many hats, this is a list of what he does: Teaches art, artist, designer, architect, art author, graffiti artist, airbrush artist, international tattoo artist. What attracted my attention are his drawings, almost realistic, with a how to draw in the margin; showing a couple of steps to demonstrate the progression. Sketches of everyday objects made very charming thanks to the arrangement of the drawings and the tone of the paper, which helps give it that lovely vintage look. Ps. I gave the images some titles. Very interesting drawings and methodology, which we are going to go into further, below. Erik Desmazières is considered one of the best contemporary printmakers, the following was taken from fitch-febvrel where the process of etching is explained: "In etching, the artist covers a metal plate (usually copper) with a resinous substance (or "ground") that is acid-resistant. The artist then "draws" on the ground with a sharp needle. Wherever the needle is applied the ground is removed, so that in an acid bath those exposed lines are eaten away, or etched. The plate is then inked and wiped, leaving ink in the grooves created by the acid. When the plate is placed on damp paper and put through the printing press, the paper is forced into the inked grooves. For each print in an edition, the plate must be re-inked and wiped." As well as these ink engravings, there are some of Desmazières' pencil drawings, one of the subjects explored, is the Library of Babel. For you out there who love books and libraries, you are going to be very pleased with this post. Labyrinth II. Press the Image to Enlarge it. Archives du Nord. Press the Image to Enlarge it. “I like bad drawers, or I like when there are vulnerable elements in a drawing,” says artist Judit Kristensen. From Umeå in the north of Sweden but currently based in Copenhagen, Judit has tried to hang on to some of the less-than-perfect technical details from when she first started working in this style two years ago. “ I guess time has made me a better draftsman – for better and for worse. I prefer empathetic over perfection, and you cant really be voluntarily bad to make a drawing vulnerable. I think that would have an opposite effect.”

About The Artwork A original drawing of Haribo’s Starmix. I felt inspired to do a drawing of a Haribo bag, as I thought it might be an interesting challenge to draw the sweets, as seen through the clear, plastic packet. It’s always a challenge to draw different shapes, colours and reflections realistically. Hopefully, when seeing this artwork, viewers will feel a sudden craving for Haribos, as I did, while working on this drawing! This drawing was done with Caran d’Ache, coloured pencils, on Clairefontaine paper. I love working with coloured pencils, as they’re great when it comes to drawing in fine detail. This drawing requires a frame. It’s sold without a frame. Please note that my drawings are sold separately.
