Toys, toys and more toys! I don't know about you, but there is never a shortage of toys in my house. And the play areas seem to always be in disarray. Every day is a never ending cycle of: - child dumps toy bin - child play for 5 seconds with toy - child finds something new and shiny - playroom looks like it was hit by a tornado - parent picks up toys Can you relate? I work with many clients that are tired of this cycle of destruction. Like literally drop dead tired from picking up all day. No

When it comes to organization I am definitely not a pro but over the two years of being a mom I have learned a few tips and tricks to keeping our playroom organized while also looking 'cute'. This post is sponsored by Best Choice Products and CraftCuts.com. You can read my full disclosure here. Our playroom is the first room you see when you walk into the house. I didn't plan it this way, of course, but this room just made the most sense to function as our playroom in the new house. This means that it can be a bit of an eye sore. I decided that while I cannot completely hide every single toy that I wanted to try to make this space at least look pretty when the mess was cleaned up. This meant I needed organization. In our last playroom, I could shut the door and hide the mess whenever I needed to. I still had a storage system but never felt the need for every single item to have a home since I could shut the door. The first thing I will say is that all decisions I made for this space were in an effort to encourage play. I never want my son to feel like he can't make a mess or have fun in this space. The pictures I am sharing today are staged to show what it looks like on it's best day. I designed this room around the need for tons and tons of storage. These Kallax storage shelves from Ikea are some of my favorites for kids spaces because they are low to the ground which means that children of any age can reach the toys. I picked up these cube storage baskets from Best Choice Products. They come in a set of 5 for around $65- which is an amazing deal! I love that these baskets are pretty and functional! These numbered bins were a DIY I completed in our last playroom makeover! I found the fabric bins on Amazon and used my cricket to stencil the numbers! You can find the full tutorial here. I am all about storage in this space! Every single thing has a home! I really try to use every nook and cranny for storage. I actually picked up this train table on the side of the road a little over a year ago. It did not come with any sort of storage underneath but one big plastic tub fixed that! Now all of the trains and tracks have a place! One of my favorite parts of this room are these custom letters by CraftsCuts.com. I worked with them on another project converting a hallway into a mudroom. One day a light bulb went off as I was reading a saying that included the words' Let Them Be Little' and I just knew it would be the best perfect addition to the playroom. I simply gave the letters a quick coat of acrylic paint in black and then hung them using tiny nails! I just love this saying and the daily reminder to worry less and embrace the chaos of having littles. This room is still a 'work in progress' but it sure has come a long way since the day we moved in and the best part is that every toy has a home :) ! Do you have any tips or tricks for a more organized playroom? Share them with me in the comments below! As always, Thank you for visiting R&R at home!
