This is a repeat Feature Friday, but so good this time of year. Enjoy Sweet Shady Lane all over again! This was originally published in 2018. ********************************************* Happy Friday friends! If you love New England, today's Feature Friday is influenced heavily by Nantucket style with nautical influences, which makes sense since she lives on a lake. Meet Heather with Sweet Shady Lane. I first saw her on Instagram, discovered she has a blog (which isn't really updated in awhile, she spends her time on Instagram), and I just love her style! If ever there was a style that I would want to emulate, it would be the vintage, classic style of Nantucket and New England. That style is my most favorite and I definitely have an affinity for classic and traditional mixed in this way. Lots of blue and white, antiques, vintage collectibles, just a beautiful way to live. I asked Heather if I could share her home with you and she agreed, so I'm so happy to feature her today. You will fall in love with her home, named Mona Bina, meaning Home for all.

I haven't made a different recipe in YEARS - that's how good these are. A big thank you to PFISTER for sponsoring this post! This post may

This weekend, we worked on pulling more staples and tack strips and added what will soon be a railing. The pictures aren't pretty, but I just wanted to share an update...

As you probably know, we LOVE having picnics. For us, there’s nothing better than grabbing a group of friends and heading down to the beach to catch a magical Byron sunset, vino in hand and platter in tow. So for me, one of the hardest things I found about doing Plastic Free July was figuring out what to pack for a pic

I have steadily been building an obsession with planked walls for quite some time now. I mentioned the other day on Instagram that I was considering planking the big wall that runs the length of our kitchen + dining room...and I have been searching for inspiration ever since. While I love the minimalist, clean look of white planks,
If you don't think Thanksgiving is the best holiday of the year, I pity you. I pity you because you must not have anyone in your family with even a semblance of cooking skills or you don't have any good cousins. Because when it comes to holidays,…

This post may contain affiliate links A while back I shared my modern farmhouse bathroom makeover [here]. Honestly, I love every single aspect of it...but one thing I am so proud of is how the ceiling turned out. It's exactly how I pictured it would look, and makes the bathroom feel cozy but still modern.

Happy Friday, friends! It's been a busy week for me this week, but a good one. I'm finally feeling back to normal after our cruise. Amazing how overseas travel knocks your body for a loop, but it sure does. I'm going to try to get a cruise post out early next week, but if I don't it will be soon, I promise. I want to be sure I cover all I need to share with you all and I took so many pictures. Today's Feature Friday is a repeat, but you probably won't recognize the house as it's changed a lot since 2012 when I first featured Laura with Duke Manor Farm. Her blog name was even different back then and she's done a lot of updates to her 16 year old home since then. She and her husband built their house out in the country north of Atlanta. They have 3 children that they are raising with a few farm animals and a lot of peace and quiet.
