Tiffin is one of my all time favourite bakes! If you've never tried it before, I always say it's basically Rocky Road without the marshmallows. I actually prefer it though. It's only got a few ingredients in and doesn't take much time so if you're looking for a quick, tasty treat, this is for you! Ingredients: 110g of butter 2 tablespoons of sugar 2 tablespoons of golden syrup 4 teaspoons of cocoa powder 220g of biscuits, I use digestives 200g of chocolate, half milk, half dark Method: 1. In a saucepan, melt the butter, sugar, golden syrup and cocoa. While this is all melting together, you need to break the biscuits up in a bowl. I normally use a rolling pin, make sure you leave some in quite big chunks, if its all completely broken into crumbs it won't form properly in the tin 2. When everything in the saucepan has melted, add the biscuits in a bit at a time, make sure you keep stirring so everything combines 3. When everything is combined pour into a tin and pat down so it is all spread evenly across it 4. Now you need to melt the dark and milk chocolate. You could do this in a microwave but I normally put it into a glass bowl and put that on top of a pan of boiling water. When everything is starting to melt, I turn the heat off and keep stirring 5. When the chocolate has cooled a little, pour over the mixture in the tin and spread evenly 6. I then put it in the fridge for 1-2 hours 7. When chilled and the chocolate has set, you can cut into pieces and enjoy! Let me know if you make this, it really is one of the most delicious treats! This no bake Turkish Delight recipe is PACKED with Turkish Delight Chocolate Bars and really is the perfect dessert or treat. It can also be made using a Thermomix.
I’d never come across a chocolate gingerbread, and after making this one for the first time, I wondered why not. There’s something about the glottally thickening wodge of chocolate chip and cocoa that just intensifies the rich spices of gingerbread. The chocolate chips add texture and nubbly treat within. This is very rich, very strong: not for children, but perfect for the rest of us. For US cup measures, use the toggle at the top of the ingredients list.
