This photograph features a winter sycamore tree from a favorite nearby park. I'm drawn to the minimalist look that winter trees take on, but additionally, with the sycamores...being able to view their beautiful cream color bark; their cold weather appearance is simultaneously honest, authentic and captivating to admire. It is printed on high-quality, museum-grade archival paper and signed by me. There are two options: one in color, the other in black and white. Let me know in Note to Seller which one you prefer. If you desire this image finished on material other than fine art archival paper, or in a size other than what I currently offer, please convo me. I'll do my best to accommodate your request. "Blazing Comet" Image size 38 x 58 cm NOW SOLDMy latest series of monotypes is an imaginative response to the sky at night. I've been fascinated by some of the amazing long-exposure night photography that I've seen recently. They reveal the night sky to be full of colour, even the stars, and not all black and white! I've had a few "Eureka!" moments when I've realised how I can portray these skies in my chosen medium. As many of you will know, these artworks are not paintings but unique hand-pri

The images in the book highlight that most things in life do not last
In this contemporary expressionist landscape painting, the soothing nature of trees and water are explored with vitality and imagination. The painting capture a large sycamore tree with it's beautiful bold curves and colors. In the near distance a stream carries reflections of meandering light. The landscapes architecture offers a beautiful entryway into some of natures distinctive attributes. A selective and rich palette of colors are used in combination with a variety of brushwork in capturing the textural aspects of the scenes energy and charisma. I painted this painting on a gallery wrapped canvas. It is a signed original that can be hung framed or unframed.
I was so inspired when I saw how Alejandra organized under her sink! As in, I came across it at 10 p.m. while I was perusing Pinterest, was mournful that we don’t have a Container Store within driving distance and I even thought about driving out to our 24 hr Walmart right then and there to see if they had open stackable bins. I restrained myself though, and headed out the next day and this is what I found: - nesting bins from Walmart or Amazon and nesting bins at the Dollar Tree. As an alternative I also love these 2 tier drawers that are also slide out! plus a shower caddy at the dollar store that I cut the bottom shelf off: And then I cleared the nightmare under the sink out. And yes, that is a Bumpit you see stashed in the back!! Oh dear. I hung the cut off shower caddy on a little screw, and everything else went into the bins. It’s sooo nice to just reach in and grab instead of digging through dark piles. Who needs therapy?? Spend $10 and organize under your sink! And I didn’t stop there. It’s the give a mouse a cookie syndrome, if you start there, then you go to the other sink, then the hall closet, and then….more coming!! Watch out…

Welcome to 320 Sycamore! I'm Melissa and my favorite movie is It's a Wonderful Life: 320 Sycamore is the address of the old Granville house~remember George and Mary throwing rocks at the windows? Mary breaks one and secretly makes a wish that she will marry George and they will live in that house one day. The house is a wreck, George swears he wouldn't live in it as a ghost, but Mary sees the charm and potential in it, and makes it into their home. So, I guess that's what this blog is all about: bringing out the charm and potential in our homes and families, with a bit of nonsense and good deals scattered here and there. I am a stay at home mom of 5, I'm so NOT a professional, but I love to look at possibilities of what can "become" with limited time and money. Thank you for stopping by! Pinus bungeana, commonly called lacebark pine, is a slow-growing conifer which typically grows 30-50' tall in about the same number of years. Most ornamental feature is its exfoliating bark which peels, somewhat like a sycamore, to reveal an underlying patchwork of white, olive, light purple and silver, eventually becoming milky white at maturity. Younger trees may exhibit some mottling, however. It is most often seen as a spreading multi-trunked tree, sometimes almost shrubby, however it can also be trained as a single trunk tree. Full growing and planting instructions go out with each order. Thanks for looking!
