Conques is a UNESCO World heritage Site and on the list of the "Most beautiful villages in France". It is only 30km east of Figeac but quite different in terms of building materials and architectural style. Its location on the edge of the Dourdou gorge is stunning. The village retains parts of the old town wall and gates. The narrow cobbled streets are lined by well preserved houses. The main attraction is the 10th century Abbaye Sainte Foy, which made it an important stopping point on the pilgrims route to Santiago di Compostello.
From Saint-Émilion to Rocamadour, these quintessential small towns are pristine thanks to their isolation—and a delight for any traveler with a set of wheels

Ari Seth Cohen will go down in the internet history books for making the style blog that championed the beautiful and extraordinarily stylish women of New York City. The flamboyant, impeccably dressed ladies that graced the pages of "Advanced Style":http://advancedstyle.blogspot.co.uk have become the muse to a whole host of designers and artists inspired by these women's unfaltering lust for life. Fashion designer Karen Walker is no exception, and has enlisted Ari to help her get these women to model her new line of rather spectacular sunglasses. The result is magnificent — I mean how often is it that you look forward to being old _and_ get an urge to buy sunglasses at the same time?

While walking in Greenwich Village, New York, I was so impressed by what I saw! A very stylish, beautiful old lady. I couldn't stop watching her! Me: Hi ma'am!!! Wow! You're so beautiful. Ilona: Shaking her head and smiling.. Come on..No.. Me: No! I'm serious Ilona: Thank you Me: Can I take a picture of you, please? Ilona: Yes! Please. ( She gave me some very cool poses, crossing her leg!) I'm 94. My name is Ilona. If you search my name you will find me everywhere in Google. Me: I'm Maryam. Nice to meet you Ilona. I will Google your name :) I was so impressed by her style and very warm personality. ...I searched her name later and I found out she is an artist and a painter. Just after 2 days I took her picture, she celebrated her 94. Happy Birthday Ilona!
I'll soon be decking the halls with creamy white roses, frosted snowberries, mercury silver, fresh pine, bay leaves, holly and candles. The table will be set with crisp linens, polished vintage silver, gleaming crystal and fresh sprigs of herbs. With the smell of woodsmoke and crackle of the fire I'll be wishing for snow again this Christmas! Here are a few of my favourite finds and Christmas inspiration. sweet shop ! ******************************************************************************************** Rocamadour (Rocamador in Occitan) is a commune of southwestern France. It is in the canton of Gramat, arrondissement of Gourdon, Lot département, in the diocese of Cahors and the former province of Quercy. Rocamadour[1] has attracted visitors for its beautiful setting in a gorge above a tributary of the River Dordogne, and especially for its historical monuments and its sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which for centuries has attracted pilgrims from every country, among them kings, bishops, and nobles. The town below the complex of monastic buildings and pilgrimage churches, traditionally dependent on the pilgrimage site and now on the tourist trade, lies near the river on the lowest slopes; it gives its name to Rocamadour, a small goat's milk cheese that was awarded AOC status in 1996. Rocamadour is located 36 m. N.N.E. of Cahors by road. It is located on the right bank of the Alzou.
