Cute and mysterious. Hares have always been fascinating to Emma von Brömssen and in this design with inspiration from the world of the fairytales they have the prominent role. Two of Sweden's best known pattern designers are creating wallpaper under a common name. The collection consists of 18 different patterns with two widely differing expressions. With its masterful colouring the collection unites in a bold timelessness. The collection from Långelid/von Brömssen feels exciting and different. At the same time, it feels natural and sustainable. Daniel Långelid and Emma von Brömssen have both already created patterns decorating walls all over the world, and with their common brand the differences in their patterns give us powerful and exciting clashes of style. Each and every one of the collection's patterns are characters on their own and inspires us to unexpected combinations. Architecture is meant to fulfill both practical and expressive requirements, and thus it serves both utilitarian and aesthetic purposes. When you look at a structure, you can distinguish these two ends but they cannot be separated, and the relative weight each of them carry can vary widely. Plus, every society has its own, unique relationship to the natural world and its architecture usually reflects that as well, allowing people from other places to learn about their environment, as well as history, ceremonies, artistic sensibility, and many aspects of daily life.

When Ani Castillo, Mexican cartoonist immigrated to Canada, she faced a very difficult time adapting to the fact that she had to start her life from scratch, learn to speak a new language and be away from her family. She then sought some help and a brilliant psychologist in training took her under her wing. Together they found ways for Ani to cope with the challenges. One of them was this cartoon, Imaginary Friend. The name refers to the years when Ani wouldn't dare to speak for fear of embarrassing herself in the new language, but her mind would be flooded with an incessant chatter.Like pinning a butterfly, Imaginary Friend helps Ani to "pin a thought" and understand it better. After almost a decade of leaving her homeland, she's beginning to feel like she can actually thrive in her new country.
