Willow Tit (Parus montanus) *From arhives. 14.4.2008, Tornio. A very local bird, mostly young do some migration in the autumns, but most stay in the place that they once choose. Last winter after moving to our new house I started to ring birds from our homeyard. I did catch 22 Willow Tits from autumn to spring. This winter I`ve controlled 4 birds from last winter. Still more to come, because winter has been very mild and just few birds have visited our feeding. Anyvay Willow Tits are much more local than for example Great Tits or Blue Tits. An unfinished house we found while flying over Willow. Locals around here call it the "Dr. Suess House" It's hard to count but appears to have 11 or 12 stories to it. It just Towers over the tree tops! It's located right next the river.
