It’s easy to dismiss alchemy as an ancient and outmoded form of chemistry - a stumbling block along the history of scientific thought. And that is for the most part, what people outside of spiritual circles do. It gives to the uninitiated a somewhat comical impression: a loony man’s thirst for material wealth leads him to believe that it’s possible to turn lead into gold.

I have a great passion for my religion and for this blog. I enjoy sharing what I know, and it lights up my life to know that it's being shared. I would never, ever put a cap on that sharing. It means the world to me that my readers feel what I create is worthwhile enough to share on their Facebook page or pin it to their Pinterest board or upload it to Tumblr. Unfortunately, I've noticed an atrocious theft of my work lately. It goes without saying that this tends to happen when you post things online, but I want to make it clear that that this is absolutely unacceptable. Always credit the creator, and if they've put their website on the image, DON'T REMOVE IT. Here are some examples of the blatant ripping I've seen lately, obviously now tagged with my website so I don't perpetuate the issue. Or even this god-awful hacking of my graphic: And here's the original image: Originally posted here: http://witchywords.blogspot.com/2012/12/protection-sachet.html I saw a Tumblr post with 750+ shares of the first image. I've seen a Facebook post of the first image with 10k+ shares. It's disappointing. I do what I do because I love to do it. I don't get any money in return. I have ads up on the side of the blog, but I haven't even been cut a check yet. Just $6 sitting in my ProjectWonderful account and not nearly close to the $100 Google requires to send you a check. Though it would be my ideal scenario, I am not being paid to blog. So when someone takes something I create, purely out of my heart and soul and passion for my religion, and rips the credits off of it, reposting it as their own, it hurts. It hurts quite a bit. The fact that so many people have seen this image but have no idea where it comes from is painful for me. Again, I know it's something that comes with the internet. I can't stop it now that it's happened. But if you happen to see the stolen version of the image, could you link them to this post? Let them know who made it? At least give me some credit? That's seriously and truly all I ask.

The Salem Witch Trials of 1692-1693 were by far the largest and most lethal outbreak of witchcraft hysteria in American history. Yet Salem was just one of many incidents during the Great Age of Witch Hunts which took place throughout Europe and her colonies over many centuries. Indeed, by European standards, Salem was not even a large outbreak. But what exactly were the factors that made Salem stand out?

When you're perceived through the lens of The Hierophant, there's an air of tradition, structure, and perhaps a touch of the conventional surrounding you. It's the card of established institutions and time-honored beliefs. But what does it really say about you? Are you considered the cornerstone of wisdom, the go-to for sage advice? Or perhaps there's a suggestion of rigidity in their view, an adherence to the rules that can be both grounding and limiting.
