Woodland gardens can encompass an entire wood or surround a modest cluster of trees but all seek to emulate the designs of nature.
I am sitting down to a small after dinner decaf coffee in the bunny mug my daughter gave me for Christmas. It's on the small size and I love the pictures on it. I saw many of these types of bunnies on prints and cups and other items when we visited England two years ago and was so tempted to buy something at the time. I adore anything with a rabbit on it. What's even better is if the rabbit is wearing a little coat, or holding an umbrella, or having a moment with a mouse who is also wearing clothes. Anthropomorphism is the applying of human qualities to things that aren't human, such as sweet little woodland creatures. When I see illustrations that show darling, furry animals in their cozy little homes drinking tea and reading the paper, I feel warm and happy. * (from Celebrate Each new Day, illustrator unknown) (illustrator unknown) (Chris Dunn illustration) (Jill Barklem illustrator) These all make me smile.

Make the most of shady ground with our five key plants for a woodland border.
Despite being brought up in the city, my early memories are of nature; sitting in a field and talking an imaginary language, going down to see the ‘catkins’ on the tree at the bottom of the garden, and picking armfuls of bluebells to take back to my mother from the nearby wood. I seemed to […]

Archival digital scanograph 18 x 13 inches, edition of 225 Additional sizes available This contemporary, archival digital scanograph was made by fine art photographer, Lisa Frank, in 2007. The floral still life print from the artist's 'Cabinet of Curiosity' series features a whimsical display of green fiddleheads, ferns, and leaves against a stark black background. The bright green flora contrast vividly against the black negative space. This still life print is available in additional sizes. Artist's Statement: I make large scale photographs that depict complex patterns. These patterns are composed from elements of nature and are presented in the form of traditional wallpaper designs. Densely ornamental, my artwork draws upon my own background as a textile designer as well as the interior decoration documents of Britain’s Aesthetic Movement of the late 19th century. The patterns are constructed from daily snapshots and scanographs composed in my studio. Combinations of motifs are “sewn” together through extreme image layering and masking. Often working with over 100 layers, a photographic grouping is created and then given a “repeat” structure - a textile design term referring to the way a pattern is set up to tile seamlessly in any direction. The ability of these patterns to endlessly tile creates the potential for multiple size works ranging from large individual prints to full room installations. Choosing to focus on natural elements that are not commonly appreciated or used for decorative purposes, my artwork is connected to the “wildness” in nature even as it is taming it by the creation of formal patterning. Creating a context for connection, it is my hope to draw the viewer into a local world as it hasn’t been seen before: charged with wonder, rich, complex and changeable while being inclusive and accessible. additional sizes listed separately: 15.25 x 11 inches, edition of 225, $350 18 x 13 inches, edition of 225, $450 25 x 18 inches, edition of 150, $750 27.75 x 20 inches, edition of 75, $850
I don't think I've ever seen this kind of mushroom before. Very cool-looking!
Happy June! As I embark on my forth week of crutches and staying home, I must say that I’m feeling very well indeed and enjoying getting back to doing a bit of work -both writing and making little figures for the upcoming exhibition in Mortonhampstead. I still can’t imagine being able to work a full day - three hours is about my limit - but all in all, it’s lovely being back in my studio. Since I haven’t been able to get out, I requested that Brian take some photos for you all while on one of his walks with Elfie. The weather has been beautiful, with more flowers than ever now that the warmth of the sun has brought them all out. I really miss seeing the bluebells, but as you’ll see in the photos, Brian captured them for me (and you). Brian was on BBC Country File last night, talking about art and faeries and actually sitting by the river sketching a bit. He hasn’t done that in quite a while (weather not at all inspiring until recently) but he said that he enjoyed it so much, he may just spend much more time this summer out in the woods, sketching again. If you (in the U.K. that is) missed it, I think you can see it this week on BBC Iplayer - that’s the limit of my technical knowledge of how one does this -so, you’ll have to figure it out. The photos that Brian took are magical indeed. Each one is a gateway into Faerie. OK - it’s nap time now!

Woodland nursery decor Brand: Dekornik Europe Woodland Nursery Decor is strongly in vogue in interior design. The latest trend in nursery decor design mixes large prints floral designs and moody palettes to give your room a dramatic charm. Amazing gender-neutral wallpaper. Choose a wall, such as your nursery wall to decorate with a forest nursery mural to accent a focal point wall. MAGIC WOODLAND animals NURSERY WALLPAPER with whimsical bunnies, deers, owls, and birds surrounded by lots of greenery you can find in forest woodland. Beautiful Forest Animals and Birds Wall Art! Cute forest animals are arranged in a dense pattern. The animals are quite large (much bigger than in our classic Little Sleepy Animals Wallpaper) because they measure approx. 25-30 cm on the pattern. It is a great proposition for all those who love wallpapers because Cute Animals will look great as a well visible accent in a room adding up to its character. TECHNICALLY: The wallpaper is divided into stripes: Height: 280 cm Width: 100 cm The price is for one stripe. These stripes will fit every standard flat as there is that extra 20 cm of length so that you can cut to the height of your wall. Ordering wallpapers in stripes is faster and simpler. Just measure the wall and order the number of stripes that you need. You won’t need extended professional consultations anymore. Here you can’t go wrong. The narrow wallpaper stripes guarantee that the wallpaper will fit almost perfectly to the width of the wall. What’s more, the repetitive pattern, where each of the stripes looks identical, allows the pattern elements to be flawlessly arranged on the wall once we glue the wallpaper starting from the ceiling. Thanks to this, there is very little surplus material. Any questions? Write to us: [email protected] ean 1122009917109 ★ Not suitable for textured walls. ★ Please measure your wall space and review the measurements in the description to order the appropriate amount. ★ We recommend applying wallpaper to the clean, smooth flat wall surface ★ Colours may vary from the actual colour depending on monitor settings ★ If you have just painted your walls please allow the paint to cure.
