A beautiful dwarf Lupine, Lupinus 'Gallery Yellow' (Lupine) is a popular selection featuring brilliant, erect spikes of densely packed, sweetly scented, bright yellow flowers in late spring - early summer. Rising on sturdy stems above bushy clumps of palmate, bright green leaves, the flowers open up from the bottom over several weeks, hence providing a long blooming period. 'Gallery Yellow' can produce up to 10-12 flower spikes on each plant. Hummingbirds and butterflies are endlessly attracted to them - as are most onlookers!
Yellow Lupine: The name Lupine comes from the Latin “lupus,” meaning wolf. This refers to the folk belief that this plant took nutrients from the soil. Ironically, this plant actually improves the soil because of its nitrogen fixing abilities. The species name “densiflorus,” literally translated “with dense flowers,” refers to the thickly growing blossoms on each stem. Yellow Lupine Germination: To soften the hard coating on these seeds, rub them lightly with sandpaper or soak them in 180 degrees F water overnight before sowing. Sow them in early spring, planting 1/2” deep. Keep the soil lightly moist until germination. For more check us out here!! https://www.etsy.com/shop/UnderTheSunSeeds
15 Yellow Chandelier Lupin Seeds Sunny Yellow Chandelier Lupins that are sure to brighten any garden. Lupins will live for 10 years or more depending on the conditions they are grown in. Perennial For the most reliable results sow seeds indoors, however they can be sown in pots outside a month later. The best time to sow Lupin seeds is around the first week of March. The day before sowing, soak the seeds in a sauce of water. This will hydrate the seeds and result in quicker germination. Transplant to pots when seedlings have 4 or more leaves, normally 2 to 3 weeks after sowing. Alternatively, sow directly after soaking, 1cm deep and sprinkle fine compost on top, watering after sowing. Seedlings should appear in 10 to 15 days. Lupins prefer a moist, well-drained soil but can be grown in most garden conditions. They prefer a full sun position but can be grown successfully in light shade. Lupins grow to a height of 1m to 1.2m (3ft to 4ft) depending on soil and weather conditions. They support themselves, even in windy conditions they do not need staking. They can withstand frost and cold extremely well and will overwinter in all parts of the UK. Typically flowers in May/June and continues flowering until early August if dead headed. The flowers will die from the base of the flower head upwards, the time to dead head them is when two thirds of the flower has died. New, smaller flowers will soon appear extending the flowering season. In early Spring new shoots will appear, clear away any remaining dead foliage to allow new growth. In Winter the foliage starts to turn brown and die down in Winter and there is no need to do anything. The foliage will slowly die back and does no damage. We ship to the UK including Northern Ireland

Extremely robust and vigorous, Baptisia x variicolor 'Twilite' (False Indigo) is an upright perennial bearing spikes of pea-shaped, violet-purple flowers highlighted by lemon-yellow keels. Resembling Lupines, they are borne in erect racemes that extend gracefully beyond the foliage and create a lovely floral display in late spring to early summer. Unusually quick to mature for a Baptisia, three-year-old plants produce upward of 100 flowering racemes. When the flowers fade away, the lovely blue-green foliage, which forms a beautiful broad, rounded shrub, remains neat all season and creates a lovely backdrop for the other perennials in the garden. If left untrimmed, the plant forms interesting seedpods turning charcoal-black in the fall and persisting into winter. Bred at the Chicago Botanic Garden, this hybrid Baptisia is vigorous, tough, long-lived and enjoys a long season of interest.
