This iconic painting explores themes of mythology and human nature through a lively scene of bacchanals, celebrating the god Bacchus. The "Bacchanale" have their origins in Greco-Roman antiquity, where they were festivities in honor of Bacchus, the god of wine, fertility, and ecstasy. In my reinterpretation, I revisit this dynamic scene with my own artistic vision while paying homage to Poussin's timeless work. 🍇 🎭 Creative Process:I reinterpret iconic representations of recurring and often epic themes and atmospheres. Drawing inspiration from images of painters from another era who share a similar narrative sensitivity, I continue the conversation with a contemporary perspective.I disfigure the characters or substitute them with faces of people from my own tribe, diverting the narrative by making it my own.My research project with this series aims to play with the boundaries between figuration and abstraction to extract the essence of the message and transcend the emotion. .This work is framed (white color)One of a kind artworkThe artwork protected varnishSigned certificate of authenticityThe materials used for this artwork are of professional qualityReady to hang..I Always take great care of packing the works to ensure safe delivery. On The screen, the colour and contrast may differ slightly from the original.* Buying a work of art does not authorize the reproduction rights.© 2022 Audrey Neron, Block Registered 29-07-2023 ...Welcome to my Art Gallery!I congratulate you for acquiring a NERON Artwork .Best,Audrey NeronArtist
