I find myself in a season of waiting. What is God saying? A devotional.
Devotional books for women can be a valuable tool in our daily walk with God. While they are not to replace us opening our Bibles, they can be a valuable asset in helping us to connect with God.
Beginning a discussion about sins can often feel overwhelming, but we need to consistently, humbly invite God to search us for anything within us that is an offense to him. Once we can see it, we can fight it. John Owen instructed believers in The Mortification of Sin to, “be killing sin or it will be killing you.” Sin is serious, but the good news for the believer is it has been atoned for. Isaiah 1:18 illustrates this beautifully: “‘Come now, let us settle the matter,’ says the LORD. ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.’”Women and men were both made in God’s image and both struggle with making ungodly decisions. But since men and women were created differently, the same sins can show up in various shades. We are going to take a close look at ten of these sins—once we can see it, we can fight it.Photo Credit: © Unsplash/Nicklashamann
The good news is that Proverbs 31 isn't about being perfect. It's really about living your life with purpose!

The differences between devotionals and testimonies, why we should share our personal testimonies, and how to share them.
We all have them. Bad habits we really need to break. Most of the time we see them – and even point them out – in others. But truth be told we struggle with them just as much as the woman sitting next to us in church. I recently posted on my Facebook timeline the question, “What do you think are the top 10 bad habits Christian women need to break?” It made for an interesting week, a little bit of defensiveness, some finger-pointing, and a lot of personal conviction. And while I collected what you believe are about 40 bad habits Christian women need to break, I narrowed the list to the 10 most popular answers. And I couldn’t agree with them more. Nonbelievers might even recognize these bad habits in us more than we do. So, instead of hiding behind our bumper stickers that we are, “Not of this World” or, “Not Perfect, Just Forgiven”, let’s get real about some of the bad habits we, as Christian women, need to break.
