I wanted to build sturdy shelves above our garage doors. I thought this would make good use of wasted space. So, I headed off to Home Depot and purchased approximately $150 in lumber. The way this works, I have a wall of these on the other side of the garage, is by downward force on the wall. I have the shelves loaded with literally 1000's of pounds of stuff I dont want on the floor. The other shelves have been in for 20 years and are as sturdy as the day they were installed.
