From paint and canvas to clay to Christmas decorations, I had to do it, had to create it. Working with so many materials expanded my abilities and my passion. With many members of my family skilled in woodwork, I always had tools and something near by I could work with. The art of creation became my first love. I dreamed of the day I could not only survive from my passion but thrive. I had to jump off the cliff and take the plunge. After years of learning carpentry, painting, drywall and many other skills needed to build and repair homes we knew it was time. Maybe we would fail but maybe, just maybe we would succeed. My husband and I went for it and opened a local home improvement company. I soon realized how much watching my dad and pawpaw work in the garage rubbed off on me. Now I say I'm so glad I paid attention! Something was still missing. I just didn't feel creative. We soon began making home decor with my hand lettering, license plates and farmhouse furniture. I loved the feeling of having someone excited about having my art in their home, I was hooked. I began searching for ways to combine all these amazing things into one. Before I knew it I had found a way to do everything I love, everyday.
