Here's the 411, I was offered my first full time (big girl) job and I'm ecstatic about it. I have a week left to prepare myself (and relax) so naturally, I went to michaels to get supplies for my little office space. I'm going to be sharing a few easy, inexpensive office ideas in the mean time :) You'll need: Wooden Box Gift Tags Sharpie Marker Teeny Hooks Paint Label your tags with the months Jan-Dec. Label your number cards 0-9. Paint your box any color your heart desires. You can also use a sanding block after its dry to achieve a rustic look. I started by taking a ruler and measuring the width inside the wooden box. After finding the width, I was able to place three pencil marks where I wanted my hooks to go. My brother screwed the hooks in for me, I placed the tags on the hooks and the project was done. With the exception of waiting for the paint to dry, it took all of 15 minutes. You'll need: Ikea Desk Mat Marble Adhesive Scraper Exacto Knife I've done my research for cheap desk mats and Ikea has the cheapest of them all at a whopping price of $5.99 (here). The marble adhesive is from amazon (here) and I found a scraper in my kitchen drawer. If you don't have a scraper, just have someone help you and slowly push the marble adhesive on the mat. After you press the adhesive on the mat, use an exacto knife to cut the excess off. Both projects are done and cost about $20 to make, hope they make your desk look a little happier :)) Thanks for stopping by!! xx
