On the third Wednesday of every month at Repeat Impression’s blog, The House that Stamps Built, the challenge is going to be an Inspiration Photo challenge. I find it fascinating to see each stamper’s take on a card based on the same inspiration photo. This is this month’s Inspiration Photo: Will you be inspired by the colors or the objects or shapes in the photo? It is up to you to pick out what inspires you and make a card, then enter it for a chance to win some great Repeat Impressions rubber. Be sure to check out the RI blog for the inspiration based cards by the other Rock Stars. I have seen them and you do not want to miss them! I was inspired by the colors and shapes of the photo. I chose two fireworks stamps from Repeat Impressions and heat embossed the images with bright sparkly embossing powder from Stampamania. Then I sprinkled on Brusho Crystal Colours to fill in the background and spritzed with water. I stamped the sentiment after the card front dried. I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenges at Scribble and Scrap and 613 Avenue Create, and the Design Team Showcase.

Be sure to check out the RI blog for the inspiration based cards by the other Rock Stars. I have seen them and you do not want to miss them! I was inspired by the fall colors and the reflection of the trees in this beautiful picture. I stamped the fall tree from Repeat Impressions three times with black ink, and stamped the second generation under them for the reflections. I used my red and orange Brushos to create the fall colors, then sponged black along the top and bottom of the card. I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenges at Crafting from the Heart and Craft Your Passion.
Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic. Here is what I came up with for this challenge. I went with the colors and the shapes of the pumpkins. I used distress oxide inks on Bristol paper after heat embossing the frame stamps found here, at Repeat Impressions. Vertical sentiment can be found here. I added the two dragonflies at the last to balance out the card. As you can see, the front panel is shorter than normal to account for the sentiment. There's a new challenge every week over at The House That Stamps Built, and you don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps to link up or win. Also, for my blog readers: Enjoy the 10% discount code to the Repeat Impressions Store posted on the sidebar. One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate on the first Wednesday of every month – Good luck! Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge. I was inspired by the colors and objects in the inspiration photo to make the card above. Nowadays, when I want color and artistic impressions I turn to my BB or CB (Brushos, Bisters or Color Burst powders.) I heat embossed Repeat Impression’s Daisies and Butterfly onto watercolor paper and then sprinkled on several blue Brusho Crystal Colours. I spritzed the powders with gold Shimmer Mist which IRL results in the whole card becoming all sparkly. I sprayed the corner of the card front with a gold spray from Heidi Swapp as in the inspiration photo. I stamped the butterfly again on white cardstock, colored in parts of the wings with a black marker and attached with one wing raised by pop dots. I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenges at Crafting from the Heart and Through the Craft Room Door.

I was inspired by the snow on the trees and roof of the building and decided to create a snowy scene with RI stamps and Flower Soft. I stamped the winter trees and building on a cloudy dp and then simply used glue to add the Flower Soft for snow. Be sure to check out the RI blog for the inspiration based cards by the other Rock Stars. I have seen them and you do not want to miss them! I was inspired by the colors and contrast between lights and darks on the inspiration picture. I made my card a “thinking of you” card with a beautiful sentiment from Repeat Impressions on a die cut tag from Spellbinders. I started my card with yellow Brusho Crystal Colours sprinkled on watercolor paper and spritzed with water. Then I stamped the pine bough several times and sponged on the darkness with black distress ink. I mixed a little of the black distress ink with gold spray on my craft sheet, and used a small paintbrush to flick black spatters on the watercolor piece. Butterflies are uplifting, I think, so I stamped one with yellow ink on yellow cardstock, cut it out and attached it with some black gems. I think this card could be perfect for a sympathy card or for anyone going through a tough time. I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenges at Crafting from the Heart and Craft Your Passion.

I was inspired by the sweet kitty colored with Easter egg dye. I chose Repeat Impression’s Persian cat and I stamped in black ink on white and cut him out. I sprinkled some Brusho Coloured Crystals on watercolor paper and spritzed it with water. I stamped and cut out some Easter eggs from the Brusho colored sheet. I also added some Brusho splots of color on our grumpy Persian kitty. I attached all the pieces to a yellow card base and stamped Happy Easter to complete the card. On the third Wednesday of every month at Repeat Impression’s blog, The House that Stamps Built, the challenge is going to be an Inspiration Photo challenge. The Rock Stars vote on their favorite photo each month for our inspiration and this month there was a tie. It is up to you to pick out what inspires you and make a card, then enter it for a chance to win some great Repeat Impressions rubber. Be sure to check out the RI blog for the inspiration based cards by the other Rock Stars. I have seen them and you do not want to miss them! I love RI’s hot air balloons and it would have been easy to make a patriotic card with them. But I decided to challenge myself and use the fancy fingernails photo for my inspiration. I started with a fingernail polish cutting file from The Cutting Café. I cut red stripes in different widths and applied them for a flag look. I stamped Repeat Impression’s stars with Versamark on the blue fingernail polish cover and heat embossed them with a sparkly white embossing powder. I stamped “Goddess in Training” and cut it out with a star die cut. I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenges at Crafting from the Heart and Through the Craft Room Door.

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic. I went with a cream cardstock on this as I felt the photo was off white and would work better with the pine cone and pine branches. Pine cone is colored with Copic's and fussy cut out. The pine branches are a die from Carta Bella. Kept this very clean and simple, like the photo. It’s another Designer’s Choice Challenge at The House that Stamps Built, Repeat Impression’s blog. It is Geri’s turn and she has shared the photo above to take inspiration from and design a card with. Why don’t you join us and create a card inspired by the photo, then enter it for a chance to win some awesome Repeat Impressions rubber? Please visit the blog for all the details and to see the other Rock Star's cards for this DCC challenge. I have seen them and you do not want to miss them! I loved the colors in the inspiration photo- lime green with a splash of red, the glitter and the shape of the vase. I saw an ornament in the round shape and designed this card: Can I say I just love this card? I created a shaker with Repeat Impression’s ornament, some acetate, and mounting tape. I added white crystals, gold beads and red sequins as the shaker elements. The ornament becomes the O in Noel and I embossed the rest of the letters in RI’s Noel stamp with silver sparkly embossing powder. I added another red poinsettia inside the shaker window which I stamped and cut out of red paper. I completed the card with a few more red sequins and a Christmas washi tape strip along the top. I am entering this card in the Anything Goes challenge at My Craft Creations and the “Say it in Color” challenge at Love to Scrap (Noel is embossed with sparkly silver embossing powder.) And don’t forget: For a 10% discount on any size order at Repeat Impressions, just make a note of my discount code (rr10kh), click on the blog badge on the side of my blog and go to the website here to shop and save!

I was inspired by the heart shape and the tree to create a love card with Repeat Impression’s stamps. I started with RI’s Winter Tree and sponged a heart over the tree with a stencil I created with acetate and a heart die from Spellbinders. I stamped a heart stencil background with reds and pinks in the heart shape. I added another stencil heart and a love sentiment to complete the inspiration card. I am entering my card in the Celebrate Challenge at Raisin Boat (celebrating love or Valentine’s Day a little late), and the Design Team Showcase.
On the third Wednesday of every month at Repeat Impression’s blog, The House that Stamps Built, the challenge is going to be an Inspiration Photo challenge. I stamped another rose with grey ink on white cardstock, then stamped “beautiful YOU” with a new stamp set Repeat Impressions is releasing very soon. I was inspired by the vase, the flowers and the beautiful spring colors from the inspiration photo. I started with a card base cut with a stitched scalloped oval die from My Creative Time which I sponged with pink ink. The green oval was also cut out with a stitched die from MCT, as was the green base for the vase. I stamped the lovely bouquet of tulips from Repeat Impressions on the green oval as well as on pink and dotted dp. I colored the tulip greens and paper pieced the pink tulips and the vase.
