Birds can fly, but they also perch, run, swim and more. Walk this way and learn why bird feet and toes are as important as wings and feathers.
I painted these doodle birds right at the beginning of this pandemic, when everything felt uncertain and we all had a high level of anxiety. These birds tweeted right in and put a smile on my face! Hope the doodle birds bring a smile to yours too! This is a print of a watercolor painting.

Famous landmarks like the Arc Du Triumph, the Pyramids of Giza, and the Sagrada Familia have been photographed countless times by photographers from around the world, and they are recognizable to most, if not all, of us. But this collection of stunning photographs gives us a bird's-eye-view of these places, casting them in a totally new light. Most of the pictures are of places or things that most of us could easily identify right away.

Everyone in Australia loves our magpies. They are such characters of birds and enjoy interactions with humans especially if food is involved… But BEWARE in Magpie mating season in early Spring !! Then all the gloves are off and we become perceived threats to their babies. They swoop down on us snapping their beaks and trying to intimidate us. In Springtime in Australia you will see many a pushbike rider with a crazy-looking helmet on with multiple zip-ties poking up like a porcupine. It seems to deter the Maggie’s and also provides some entertainment for the motorists ! I decided to paint her on a background of Wattle as the yellow in the Wattle just seemed to sit nicely with the black and white of her feathers. The golden Wattle also gives some life and colour to the painting. The Magpie and Wattle original painting was lovingly rendered in watercolours. This native art print will brighten any space in your home or would make a lovely artwork gift to any Aussie living overseas. Artwork is the easiest and most effective way to update your home in an instant. You will transform your space immediately as well as treat yourself to a beautiful new piece of art for your guests to admire. The enormous amount of detailing becomes clearer the closer the viewer gets. This watercolour took many hours to paint. This artwork was hand painted in very fine detail in my art studio on the Central Coast which is one hour north of Sydney, Australia. PRINTING Your artwork has been professionally printed with top quality inks on beautiful, heavyweight 210gsm silk card for the A4 and A3 size. The larger A2 and A1 size are printed on 180gsm bond card. The result is a highly detailed image with vibrant colours. It is difficult to tell the difference between the original watercolour and the professional print. IMPORTANT The colours on your print may vary slightly to the colours shown on your own computer or phone screen. All of the A4 and A3 sized prints have an approximate 5mm white border which will be covered by a ready-made picture frame. If you wish to use a mat around your print I suggest that you use a professional picture framer who will ensure that the custom-made mat will cover the white border on your A4 or A3 sized print. SHIPPING All prints are made-to-order and posted securely in a sturdy mailing tube or envelope within 1-2 weeks. Shipping is FREE in Australia, but there is a charge for International orders. A frame is not included with the purchase.
