Tove Shirt is an elegant shirt blouse with mosaic knitting on the yoke and cuffs. The design was created as part of the Isager Archives collection and is a reinterpretation of a model from the 60s and 70s archives - from where the inspiration for the mosaic knitting also comes. The blouse is worked top-down. First, the collar is worked in rib, and short rows are made to shape the collar. The work is continued down the yoke in mosaic knitting with one or more contrasting colours. The yoke is knitted back and forth on the needle, while increases are made on the shoulders and the neckline is shaped with short rows. The work is divided to work the front pieces separately. The last rows of mosaic knitting are worked while decreases are made at the armholes. After this, stockinette stitch is worked and increases are made at the armholes. Stitches are picked up along the front edges and plackets are made in rib. The back piece is worked in the same way. All the parts are gathered and worked in the round with decreases at the waist. Corresponding increases are made while the body is worked to its final length and finished with a narrow rib edge and Italian bind-off. You can choose to leave out the decreases and subsequent increases at the waist if you do not want to shape the waist on your shirt blouse.
