These bright, little beauties are very carefully hand painted with all different bright colors with patterns. I spend many hours and days, searching the woods for perfect acorns! Then to preserve them, they are cleaned in bleach water and baked for several hours to dry and kill the insects inside. Once they are dry, I attach them to trays and hand wash each one again. I paint 2-3 coats of base paint on every acorn, (without tops on them) Then I carefully hand paint each acorn with a large variety of patterns so you can order several sets and have all different ones. At this point, they sit to dry and then I brush on a polycrylic sealer to make them strong and let them harden over night. Lastly, I match them up to tops and glue them back together! It is a long process to produce a quality painted acorn that will last you a lot of seasons! PLEASE NOTE that the acorn sizes vary, some will be bigger and some will be smaller. Some years, the acorns are not as big as others. I do my best to give you the biggest ones I can! The photos show you samples of the average size of my acorns. They are sold in sets of 6 and all different ones will be chosen for you. Acorns are shipped in Eco-friendly, Kraft boxes with filler. ***These acorns are a choking hazard and should be kept out of reach of small children and pets!!
