To the readers of this blog who still have to go to school or have to prepare and study for horrible exams I'm terribly sorry. School can suck for a number of reasons including but not limited to bad teachers, shitty subjects, cafeteria food and fitting in. But the good news is that school isn't so bad. For example the act of rebelling against such an establishment can breed a new type of creativity or angst. While it may seem that anti-conforming can be just as bland as the norm I think aesthetically it's more appealing. Or I like to see high fashion editorials blend leather chokers with sweet pinafores, platform sandals and free nipples. But that's just me. This is a collection of photos that are almost related to high school but without the cliches of lockers and classrooms. It's closer to what it feels like to be a teenager and how the world can be neatly cataloged according to a trend or movement. *I've lost lots of the sources for these lovely photos so if anyone can point me in the right direction or tell me where they're from that would be much appreciated! 1- Tavi's party via her blog, 2 & 3- Rookie Mag, 4- She Woke Up Like This Tavi Gevinson by Petra Collins, 6- unknown via Style Rookie, 7 & 8- unknowns, 9- The Teenage Gaze by Petra Collins , 10- unknown, 12- unknown movie. 13 & 14- Dolls Kill Lookbook 'La Femme Mathilda'. 5, 11, 15- unknown lookbook.
