Thank you for all the prayers and love sent to Terry and I as we grieve the loss of his dad. He was a good man and we will miss him. I showed you the She Shed I purchased. It is going to be a fun challenge to re love it into a sweet she shed for me. It was a Chicken Coop. Below I will show you the "before" pics of how the shed looks now. Then I will share some inspiration pictures I found on Pinterest of ideas for transforming mine. This is the "before" pics of the she shed. It is chippy and needs some love but I know I will get it to a sweet place. This side feed bin will be converted to a flower box. Love the cute shelf and chippy window. This is an inspiration picture. I can gather lots of ideas from this picture. The next pics below are lots of ideas from pinterest. I can see doing something like this inspiration picture on the side of my shed that has a similar window and shelf. I love the chandelier and all the sweet flowers inside this she shed. I could see a nice hammock like this one hanging inside. I want to paint the inside of the shed similar to this one. This is the space in my backyard where I will put the new shed. According to measurements it should fit perfect in this space. I can plant roses and hydrangeas etc. throughout this area in the backyard. I cannot wait to get started on my She Shed. It is going to be fun and exciting to create a great new chic shed for myself. Stay tuned to see the transformation. If all goes well it will be delivered to my backyard next Saturday. Have a good week ahead. Hugs, Kris Parties: Inspire Me Tuesday

All of the following pics are fall decor from the past Junk Chic Cottages. Just some pic to get you excited about your own fall decor ideas. As I was strolling through my past pics of fall decor I found myself a few times looking at decor pieces and saying to myself what the heck happened to that piece!! Through the moves I think I have given away or somehow pieces came up missing. Hope you enjoyed a little fall inspiration. Our weather in Illinois has been so great. A little bit of summer holding on mixed in with fall nights. Enjoying these days as much as I can because we here in Illinois all know what follows fall. Ugh!!!! I am also excited to say my annual charity girlfriend party will be happening this year. With Covid our last party was 2020. This year the party will be the weekend before Thanksgiving. I cannot wait to get all the sweet girlfriends together to celebrate our love for each other and the fun we have at this party. I am excited to be working on things for this upcoming party. Have a great week. I am working on a solution for my soffits in my kitchen. Stay tuned hope to have something to show with those. Hugs, Kris

Yeah!!! Hump Day. How is your week going? Mine did not start out so good. We had a tragic accident with my brand new I Mac computer that I have only had for 5 weeks and made only one payment on!!!!! While doing a project in my office using vintage doors my hubby dropped one of the doors onto the computer and shattered the screen. Yep!!! brand new screen ruined. My husband felt so bad but it is what it is and we took her to Apple and they put her in the Apple hospital for a face lift. Since all the components of the computer are behind the screen there was the threat the computer was trashed. I thought oh not a 5 week old computer that we have only made one payment on!!!! Apple ran a diagnostic check on her and her internals were all good so she just needed a new screen. So I have been without my computer for a few days. Hoping to hear from them today or tomorrow that she is ready to come home. I miss her!!!! Anyway on to the post!!!! I know a lot of you thought I was going to make an arbor out of the old vintage doors I got while junkin and you would have been right that was the original plan but then I got the idea to do something different with them. That happens a lot with me!!!:) I wanted to partition off my office some how from the dining room. This back area where I made my office was a closet when we moved in and was completely closed off. Just a total waste of space. So I made it into my office. I wanted to still have an open feeling and let that light from that window come in but still want some division from my dining room. These old vintage doors and porch posts did the trick. I have some separation but still have light coming through to keep it from feeling closed up in there. Loved that the doors still had their lovely old knobs and locks still on them. Now I have the division of having my office feel like a separate room but still with an open feel. Door hoarder here loves that I could have the hubby make me a wall out of old vintage doors. Here it the back side to the new wall of doors. I love these old chippy porch posts as the anchors. I love that the light still streams in from that window to keep it bright. Love my little stair rail and post to add some chippy bling. Well there you have it!!!! Doors made into a wall. Hopefully today I will be getting my computer back!!! Make sure you check back on Saturday for another Spotlight blogger. I thought I would share something my heart is longing for. This Chippy White Neutral Chick is dreaming of color, flowers, and sunshine and a comfy lounger for taking a summer nap. While we are looking at this for the next few months. I want to think about..... Color, fresh air, sunshine! Yep even us white and neutral decor girls need some color in our lives. I find mine each and every summer through my garden. Outdoor places during the summer. Garden retreats are near and dear to my heart and I always carve out a space for a summer outdoor lounging spot in my garden. These next pictures are from my past garden spaces. Ohhhh how I cannot wait for Spring and Summer here in the Midwest. I miss my sweet lounge chair and flowers. Summer 2014 A few years ago I had an old vintage twin bed out on my deck that my lounge chair fit. Loved this space. Held up great through the summer. I long to bring out my summer lounger once again. Ahhhh, love to surround my outdoor space with flowers, chandeliers and a comfy lounger to rest, read and soak up the sun. Sweet scents from flowers, sunshine and birds singing make my heart sing. Courtesy of Aiken House & Garden. Ahhhh. This girl gets it too. So as we wait for the seasons to change and summer to return we can dream of our outdoor spaces to be. If you would like some more outdoor garden space ideas you can go to my pinterest board here. It's nice to dream about what is to come!!!! Hopefully a lot sooner than later!!! Have a great rest of this week. I have a little post coming up very soon on this beautiful piece of history I rescued. This pretty vintage door is going to find a new home and purpose in Junk Chic Cottage. Stay tuned! xoxo Kris
Happy Monday Sweet Friends This was the chicken coop I purchased to become my garden she shed. We had to take this apart completely to move it from this yard to our yard. Not an easy feat but we were determined and got it moved. The sides came apart and the roof stayed in one piece. It was the hardest piece to move with it not able to take it apart. Took 3 guys to lift that roof into the truck. This is how it looked in my backyard for the last few weeks. The base/floor of the shed in the backyard is where the she shed is getting put back together. This back area of the yard and flower beds was so out of control with growth and weeds. This house was a rental before we bought it. So these beds had never been taken care of. Before fall we had everything torn out and mulch put down for winter. Besides the she shed getting put in this part of the flower bed the rest of the beds will be getting lots of pretty flowering bushes and perennials this summer. The backyard is a mess and soooo ugly. I hope we will get the decks put in and then come May the flower beds will get planted and by the middle of summer the backyard will look really pretty. Terry was able to use a paint sprayer and paint the inside and out of the shed after it was reassembled. We still have to paint the front top under the roof where it is still chippy. That was the part of the roof that was face down on the grass and did not get any paint. This Shed took 3 gallons of Behr Ultra White Exterior paint! The wood just sucked up the paint. I did not take off the painters tape on the top of the window lol! I just noticed that in the picture. The cubbies is where the hens had their nests. I will do something cute with garden decor in these bins. I still have the little name tags of each of the hens names. I may have to put them back on the bins! This wall also has lots of shelves too. I cannot wait to start to decorate this with pretty chic garden decor and shabby chic chair, pillows etc. Tea party anyone? I love this inspiration picture and hope to incorporate some of the shabby chic into the garden shed. Inspiration!!!! I also found a cute little table and 4 chairs similar to this one in the picture to have near my She Shed. Inspiration! Inspiration! My she shed has this very exact shelf on the side and I like the way they decorated this one. More inspiration. The weather is beginning to be nice. When May arrives we can begin to plant flowers here in Illinois. I will be excited to begin to transform the she shed. Hope you are all staying home and safe. We are in the crucial weeks right now. If we all follow the stay in place rules we may see some normal returning in May. Have a great new week.

Instead, please use the download link that you'll receive in the email sent to the address associated with your Etsy profile. If you encounter any issues with downloading, please feel free to contact me. I'll be happy to help you with any download related problems. *Why my images are JPEG and not PNG* All of my images come as full colored background JPEGs as almost all of my works are watercolor style. Because of that, I do not offer transparent PNG files. When the background is removed, parts of the images that are too close to white become transparent too, losing delicate details. For example, the creamy color of a cute animal's fur may have transparent parts when the background is removed, so when placed on a new, different colored background, the new background color will be visible and look out of place. Which is why I have decided, for now, to keep the backgrounds colored and give you the option of removing them if you choose to. There are many online solutions that can remove backgrounds simply and for free. *Because my products are instant download and per Etsy's policy, refunds cannot be provided and exchanges for a different item will not be accepted after purchase. Please be assured that what you will receive will be as described and shown in the listing. If you experience any difficulties, do not hesitate to contact me, I will do my best to address any issues you may have. *** *Thank you for visiting my shop and taking a look at my items* Your support for my small business is really appreciated! Welcome to Shabbilicious Sunday…. Each week in this series I share with you a visit to a home of one of our shabbilicious friends. What could be better than to take a tour around their home, have a chat and get to know a little more about them. Today we are off to visit the always delightful Kris at Junk Chic Cottage in Chicago, Illinois in the United States. Kris and her husband Terry took possession of their new cottage just 3 months ago and immediately set to work transforming it into a new Junk Chic Cottage. I
