Part of the "Close-up: U.S.A." series, the "Wisconsin, Michigan, and the Great Lakes: Land Between the Waters" travel map is half of a two-map set, accompanied by the Wisconsin, Michigan, and the Great Lakes map. Published in August 1973, it contains inset maps of the Welland Canal and selected rivers as well as travel information and tips for motorists.
Grand Traverse Lighthouse (Mi) A droite : Old Mission Point lighthouse (Mi) A gauche : Je ne me souviens plus...
A little bit of sunset excitement over Lake Michigan at Little Sable Point in the Silver Lake State Park. Printed with archival pigmented ink (100 years fade resistant under indoor conditions). Works are printed after purchased, even though it says "In Stock." I personally print everything, including building and stretching the canvases. Canvas wrap prints measure 1.5" deep. Image wraps around the sides and includes wire, making the work ready to hang as-is, no frame required. Canvases are sealed with a non-toxic acrylic varnish with a satin/semi-gloss finish. (matte finish available for extra) Paper prints have a matte finish. Matted images are packaged with a 2" white mat and foamcore backing. Matted prints will fit in standard size frames (8" x 10", 11" x 14", 16" x 20"). 5" x 7" prints are too small to be signed. 10"x14" and larger prints will be shipped rolled up. If you want them shipped flat it will be an additional $10-15. Royalty-Free images will be e-mailed within 1-2 days of purchase. Small size is approximately 5" x 7" at 300 dpi. Full size will be 13" x 20" or 16" x 24" at 300 dpi. Prices include Continental U.S. Shipping rates. Contact me for custom sizes/prices and international shipping. Prices are subject to change.

The polar vortex has kept Lake Michigan frozen for the most part of winter. For example, in Chicago, Illinois, temperatures reached -30C (-23F) during the peak of the cold, causing ice shelves to form on the lake – hills formed from waves crashing over existing ice piles. But everything eventually comes to an end. Spring is bringing warmer weather to the area, destroying the ice and transforming the region into a magical wonderland.
