This beautiful star dates back to the Moravian (Czech Republic) custom of hanging a star made from paper, straw or chipwood in windows, found its way to Sweden in the 1930s, recalling the star that guided the Three Wise Men. I, being both Czech and Swedish, love making this star that dates back to my roots. This Swedish Advent star, woven with reed, is an elegant addition to any decor. Whether hung in the window to catch the sun, used as wall art, or placed on your Christmas tree as an ornament or as the tree topper, this heirloom quality hand made woven art is sure to draw attention and admiration. Hand made in northern Minnesota.

This year I have loved seeing all the Christmas DIY wreaths being shared all over my Instagram feed. I wanted to give you a few...
Those acorns have been collected in the wood, nearby our house, in Atlantic Canada. They have been clean individually, put on the microwave for few secondes, then cooked and dried in the oven for few hours before being coated with 3 layers of golden paint. Then, the acorn has been gently glued with its cap. A little hole in the cap has been drilled for the ornament version. I have used a waxed gold thread for the hanger. Each acorn is different in size, they usually measure between 0.60" and 0.98" / 1.5 to 2.5 cm approximately. Those will add glamour, a rustic touch and sparkle to your fall decor and holidays home decorations. Those look amazing displayed on a winter wedding table ! Here is the silver version: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/252427141/christmas-ornament-silver-holidays-decor?ref=related-1 Finally, please do convo me if you need more of those ! I will gladly help you. Many thanks for looking at those golden acorns. (Box on picture #4 is not included)

They all look SO GOOD together!
This unique paper pinecone ornament measures 4" long. It is made from some of my favorite vintage maps, with colors of teal, ivory, beige, green, tan and blue. It hangs from a ribbon at the top. It is very lightweight, as it has a foam egg underneath. So cute! These make wonderful gifts! They look great on Christmas trees, but they are big enough that you could just hang them from anywhere in your house and they would look great! They make great wedding decorations, first anniversary presents, birthday presents, etc. Pinecone may vary slightly from one in photo. These are my large size. I can do these smaller. I can also do them from any paper, book, map, etc. If you would like a custom order, please send me a message.
