Sculptures and blood form a whole, a comprehensive approach. She studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Pau and spent two years in the Phnom-Penh Fine Arts faculty in Cambodia. Aquarius: a Modern sculptural fabric floor lamp from Mirei Monticelli - In Stock. Measurements are 16" L x 12" W x 67" H (40cm x 30cm x 170cm H) as shown. This newest work from award winning Mirei Monticelli debuted at ICFF in May of 2022. From the artist: "As the sun sets, the sky turns a deep rich purple, and the Milky Way sparkles in the depths of space, Aquarius soars majestically through the sky. She loves the feeling of the wind on her skin and the way the moon makes her hair shimmer. Aquarius - the water Bearer, is embodied in this cascading floor lamp and is expressed in the sinuous curves of the special textile made from Banaca fabric. The vastness of the universe has always amazed me. For as long as humans have walked on Earth, we’ve always looked to something greater than us for clarity and strength. Looking to the heavens, the planets and stars has always served us to satiate our curiosity and desire to understand. I created the Aquarius lamp during a time of great anxiety and uncertainty, and found myself at peace with a lamp resembling the flowing water that the Aquarius bears." About Studio Mirei Mirei is a Milan-based multidisciplinary designer who started her career in her birth place, the Philippines. Working from her roots has exposed her to the world of traditional manufacturing and production of furniture, where everything is made by hand. This environment exposed her to the beautiful world of artisan crafts, but then gave her the yearning to explore state-of-the-art techniques that come from the western world. Graduating from Politecnico di Milano in 2017 with a degree in Design and Engineering has given her more experience in the technical point of view. Her work spans product design, interior design, creative consultancy and art direction.

A visual metaphor for imperfection and the possibilities of repair, the porcelain sculptures created by Ohio-based artist Glen Taylor (previously) are steeped in contrast. Soldered spikes confront the gilded, floral designs on a stack of teacups, a rusted pair of scissors binds shards of a plate, and wire restrains a concrete hand as it lurches from dinnerware. In his most recent pieces, Taylor also draws on his background in ceramics, creating the witty “Introvert Mug” with the handle strategically placed inside the vessel. More
