Artist Carl Warner can turn anything into a landscape. After spending several decades as an advertising photographer, Warner happened across some portobello mushrooms at a food market and immediately thought they looked like some kind of strange tree from an alien world.
He decided to take them back to his studio along with some rice seeds and beans; Warner’s first ‘foodscape’ was born.
Warner continues to make incredible foodscapes but his work has expanded to include anything from clothes and electronics to the human body. The artist has had two books of his work published and prints are available to purchase online. For more, be sure to check out his website and portfolio on Behance.
