Back in 2008, Malaysian artist Lee Samantha was pregnant with her second child. Lee knew that newborns commanded a lot of time and that if she could get her eldest daughter to eat independently, it would free up more of the precious resource.
So began her foray into food art. Lee figured if the plate of food looked appealing and fun, her eldest daughter would be able to eat independently. The Sifter first featured Lee last October and her meteoric rise as one of the most popular food artists online continues. Her Instagram account boasts nearly 630,000 followers and her Facebook page just eclipsed 80,000.
Not only are Lee’s food artworks wildly creative, but they are also homemade and healthy. Be sure to check her out on Instagram and Facebook for more delicious art.
