A Team of Florists Have Been Leaving Giant Bouquets Around New York and It’s Amazing

Written by

Over the last few months, floral designer Lewis Miller and his team have been ‘flower-bombing’ New York City, arranging incredible giant bouquets in the most unexpected places.

The team have been using empty trash receptacles for what they call ‘flower flashes’, spreading whimsy and delight in the process. How could you pass one of these amazing bouquets and not be impressed? The size alone is enough to give pause.

In an interview with Vogue, Miller adds:

“I am in the business of fantasy and flowers, and it’s my job to transform key moments in my clients’ lives into joyful, everlasting memories. I wanted to recreate a similar feeling for the everyday city-dwellers and tourists of New York City.”

Miller says they always recycle flowers from events whenever possible and plan to continue ‘flower flashing’ across New York (and beyond) and going even ‘bigger’. Lastly, Miller adds that the ‘LMDxNYC’ they tag at every location is chalk spray paint and washes away in the rain.
