H2O by Romain Laurent

Written by

H2O is an experimental portrait series by Romain Laurent which eventually was used in an editorial for Amusement Magazine. Originally from France, the photographer and art director is currently based in New York City and you can find a number of his creative projects on Behance.

Beyond the artistic element of this series, there’s also some cool science happening. The way the water seems to envelop the models’ faces is known as surface tension which is described as, “the elastic tendency of a fluid surface which makes it acquire the least surface area possible.” You can learn more about surface tension here.
