One day while preparing an avocado for a meal, artist Jan Campbell found herself taken aback by the subtle beauty of the pit (or stone as she refers to them), which most of us discard without giving a second thought.
Inspired by Celtic folklore, the Ireland-based artist decided to carve the pit instead of discarding it, eventually revealing a tiny ‘forest spirit’. Campbell’s ‘Avocado Stone Faces‘ were an immediate hit with her followers on Instagram and her unique creations have been selling out as fast as she can create them ever since.
