Tremendous Typography by Markie Darkie

Working under the moniker of Markie Darkie; graphic designer and visual artist Ferdinand Mark Basa has produced some brilliant work and garnered serious attention on Behance, an influential online community of artists and designers. Hailing from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; I was unable to uncover any additional information on the artist, only adding to his mystique 🙂

Thankfully there are plenty of projects available in his portfolio! All are quite interesting, but it was his exploration of various type based on the ‘principles of design’ that really caught my eye. Check out his steez (it’s been a while since the Sifter featured a digital artist!):
