Wow... I came across this on Facebook last night, and I was blown away. It is a 1/16 scale Trumpeter Panzer IV, superbly built and painted by a fellow Australian named Brian Richardson, and it has taken two years to complete. All images courtesy of Brian Richardson. That big, big scale really lets you go to town on detail. Look at the fire extinguisher below! How cool is that? Rust textures really look more to scale in 1/16. Look at the detail of the ammunition! Imagine trying to decal (or worse yet, paint) those stencils on 1/35 scale ammo? But my absolute favourite part is the rusty tracks mounted on the exterior. The rust effect is, to my eyes at least, just 100% utterly perfectly spot on. It's tricky to get rusted spare tracks right, and it has been nailed here. I tip my hat to you, Mr Richardson. Maybe I will see this Big Panzer at the Australian Model Expo in two weeks' time? Until next time, Cheers, Dave
Top-notch realistic remote control tanks with ww2 pseudo sound light impact. Military 1:16 scaled tiger, panzer and heng long tanks that shoot and smoke.
