Today I wanted to share with you the transformation we did of this basement – dark, crowded, and run down – to a beautiful basement apartment! BEFORE: Here are the before photos, totally untouched. And yes the first thing we had to do afterwards was completely empty it and take it right back to the studs (or foundation in this case). We got rid of EVERYTHING so we could start from the foundation out with waterproofing, new framing, new wiring, and all new plumbing. AFTER: Here it is! I’m so thrilled with house this unit turned out, basement units don’t usually have the best height (and this unit is no exception) but that doesn’t mean they can’t look nice and have high end finishes. I’m so obsessed with all the features packed into this unit! The green accent wall, the hexagon floor tile, and the stained barn door. Beautiful! Make sure you leave a comment and let us know what you think!
